Hello there !
I'm doing a hand study. Here my progress after one day of work in Maya/ZBrush :

Sorry my English is very poor, I'm French.
Cheers !

This is great. I'm just about to try sculpting a hand. Are you going to texture it?

No answer ?
I've just tried to export the model and the bump in Maya and add a SSS shader with default settings. I've only created Two spotlights, this test render is just to give a preview. Here's the result :

Now I need to create the colour map in ZBrush.

Hi Gopher,
Just wanted to say your study is getting better with each post. Nice work!

Nice hand study! I'm impressed
Tiny Crit: The fingers look a little like plastic. If you added more fine wrinkles radiating from the joints, it may fix it. Only on the tops of the fingers, though. Great job, especially on the bottom of the hands!

Thx ;)
Another test with colour map this time :

Don't pay attention to the nails because I haven't put a good color on them and there's no specular yet.
The picture in the middle is without SSS.

The fingernails are not perfect and the palm need perhaps a little tweak.

well, the fingernails texture isnt great, but except that the shape is perfect. Altho the fingers look very skinny, like for someone who grew up very quickly.

Yes the fingernails need more work.
Thx ciroman ;)
Gopher
Dude great work. Your color map is excellent. I would think some people could mistake these for real if you fix up those fingernails. Work on those fingernails a bit more, and they will be ace.

Katonc & Pooop : Thanks for your comments ;)
I've tweaked the shape and the color for the fingernails. It's perhaps a little bit shiny...
It's almost a final render.
