I tried zbrush at a friends studio. I'm really impressed.
I have a traditional sculpting background and this modeling method makes the most sense to me. I hope all 3D apps turn their modeling in this direction.
I've used Amorphium since it came out. Zbrush really adds to the functionality of this concept.

I'm interested in the specifics of getting fine detail into the model. I have alot of reading to do....
I've attached my first model here as is the custom here :).
Great forum, keep up the good work!

wow....if this is a one time trial at a studio.....I cannot wait for you to get zbrush for yourself......you will find that it is a definite virtual sculpting medium now with z2 and I see it enhancing sculptors works and ability to show clients in real time what they can expect from a sculptor.

I hope to see some more of your works here shortly!! :D Zbrush is worth the pesos my friend even if you have to eat potatoes for a year!! ;)

Welcome Joey! Great job. I too am a traditional sculptor that has been struggling to break into computer 3d. I've tried a few other 3d programs and was frustrated by overy technical ways to "sculpt" things. Zbrush is wonderful. Closest thing to digital clay I have found so far.

Can't wait to see more of your work!

joey :tu: as I see, you are infected wizz this awsome ZB-virus too :D

To add more details to your model should you refine the mesh and than use the ProjectMaster -- the best tool I ever seen..

Keep posting keep postin keep posting :tu:

Hi there joey, there seem to be a problem of shadows in the lower neck zone of you model, did you render the object in another package.
Maybe if its lightwave you should triple all poligons or at least the non-planar ones.

Ciao,
Jinxius.

No, just a quick render in 3DMax. Standard light settings, nothing tweaked or corrected. Its just a test image, not for a client :).

Curious:
I'm no stranger to 3D, I own a small studio and do animation, imaging, web content and multitrack audio for a living.
I am curious to what would happen if a "non-computer" artist/sculptor were given the chance to learn Zbrush. The art from the Shifflets or the Gore Gore group would be amazing to see animated.

Thanks for the comments!
