i'm an absolute beginner to 3d. i need to know how to reselect an object after i've drawn something else?...for example..i draw a 3d cylinder, then i draw a second one...how do i select the first one so i can rotate it again or whatever?

You definitely need to read the manual as well as the FAQ section of Zcentral.

When you draw a "tool" on the screen, then choose another, and draw, you have effectively stamped the original object into the background and it is no longer editable.

Zbrush is a bit different than other 3d programs in this regard but in the end you get used to it and even at times it is more effective.

if you are looking to add to objects together.....also read about the Multimarkers tools. reading the manuals and the FAQ sections here at zCentral will answer a great many questions, the rest ...you'll probably found answered here already at this forum....just do a search.

Why can't Edit (select) my object anymore :) (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=2&t=000041)
