I like the way Alan Lee draws structures within a cave (Moria) and his tree houses/structures (Lothlorien) and his Rivendell tree and structures.
I have done googles searches for books with his art work - penceil drawings and have not really found anything.
I do have the three Art of books for the Lord of the Rings movie.
If you know of any books with Alan Lee's art work (or collections of his art work) please post the title and author, etc
Thanks

I can't remember if The Mabinogion has pencil sketches or is only watercolour - mine is buried deep in a box in an attic somewhere.

thanks for the links
the one about his books has has done is cool some of his earlier work remains me of Author Rackham's color work
OT: thanks again, bonecradle
I remember that you had pointed me toward budplant when I was looking for collections of Paul Lehr's art
but www.bpib.com took me on a merry course among illustrators whom I have long enjoyed, then from Chris Foss through Jodorowsky's essay about his version of Dune, then on to www.artrenewal.org, which I know someone mentioned on ZBC here previously (Stonecutter, I believe), where I spent hours last night, which beneficially influenced my dreams
I have been wandering in the music world, but somehow, visual art is more grounding
