My last Character, called Maureen.
Since I've geen upgraded to 2 gig of memory, I can now reach skinpore precision on an entire torso.
But to tell the truth, it was super slow!
I hopw you like it...

Man you had a lot of work to make this nice model. Real nice! :tu: :tu:
5*
Model looks excellent. The aerola on the nipple still needs work texture wise. I would crack up the texture more to get a more realistic look.
Great stuff. Push the limits.

Hm, very nice work, indeed.
Just two crits :
- I don't think there is any pores on the chest's skin, it is rather the opposite : Goosebump.
- Her eyelashes are completely flatten to the eyelids, which cannot happen in reality.
Otherwise, really good stuff. Congrats !
Bye !
I cant fain the words.
Thats the most fantastic and sexi thing i have seen in a long time :D Like the only thing u think is to hit her :P You are my master after this, so much detail :]
How long did it take you to make it ?

Very good lighting and shading work- impressive skin shader! Apart from the breasts looking unaturally firm for their size the modelling work is oustanding! Contratulations,

Wow, superb work Seb, I agree the nipple needs a little more work re: textures. Can I ask why such an exotic nude women ended up with the name Maureen, she doesn't look like a Maureen to me...

Gorgeuous Modle! you have beautiful form in there, and its VERY realistic.
the only thing that I noticed was the eyelashes, how they lay flat.
fantastic work,
Amazing model. The girl is extremely sexy. You have done terrific job. You know this.
You didn't mention anything about what program you had used to render her.

At first I was very focused on the face and the really realistic nipple ;)
But I now noticed that the arm could use a bit finer texture, a woman, say Maureen, would say "OH my god, I have orange skin!" (not the color, the fruit) and would start to get hysterical :))
Anyway amazing work, you're great,

waou really fantastic wonderfull
Beautiful model :) :tu:
How long do you need to model her ?
Could we see the basemesh ?
Wow! What an incredible achievement, the bone structure of the face is dead on, the proportion captivating. On top of which the detailing is outstanding, even when compared to your earlier work. I just can't get over how nice the hair looks despite being their being only limited sculpted detail. Oh my, and you sculpted the eye lashes too! Amazing.
I know that you used to use photographs for your textures, is that the case here? How was the hair done? Free hand or did you use the mask+inflate technique? Was the hair texture applied first and used as reference for sculpting, or did you apply the texture afterwards? Or perhaps you were sculpting and painting at the same time. I haven't tried sculpting hair yet, but given your results it looks like an excellent alternative to simulated or transparency mapped hair.
I understand if you don't want to reveal any secrets, but any nuggets of wisdom would be very much appreciated. Regardless thank you for sharing the beautiful picture, this ones going right into my inspiration/reference collection.

Her head looks perfect, real talent.
If I may have some critique; her breast look a bit silicone, not really realistic IMHO.
great work... I'm jealous of your talent!
I really like the modeling in this picture lighting and textures are very good.
If I had to crit this any it would be the compositing of the female model and its relationship with the background image. It basically looks like it was just placed on the blurred background and they do not blend too well in my oppinion.
Looking at the greyscale second image is to me a fantastic image that needs no colour, it is so expressive and gracefull.
Well done on a great model

The entire picture was based on a photo given to my by a friend who grabed it on internet.
I liked the atmosphere, the sensuality... Theres no special raltionship between the background and the charcater.. Except its an isalnd environment, thats why she has flowe in her hairs...
Maybe I could have put faked shadows of tree leves on her...
I'll do a second version wvis eyelashs, and soft torso skin...

Hey! Where did you get that photo?
My reference is based in this photo, but my version was strongly retouched in photoshop (the guy put tones of glow, and forced the makeup).
This version is much nicer than the one I have!!
Its more natural...

looks awesome, nice feeling in the head ... but I think the breasts are too large.. and the rib cage is also too far forward (draw in the back behind the occluding arm and you'll know what I mean)
great work
Sebcesoir
11-28-05, 03:49 PM
The thing is there's no perspective actually, and you dont see the curvature of the back, the girl is bend behind, and her neck is not aligned to the torso, its bend forward, so it plays a lot on the torso shape...
But her breast can be too big for you, but once again perspective affect size feeling, and you can easily fin bigger breast than this, natural or not!

skipstah70 there's no such thing as too large breasts dude:D .The bigger the better:tu:
Probably contraversial but I wanted to ask.
This model is stunning I agree. I love the detail in it but as a piece of art whats its point? Is it titilation? Why is she nude? Whats the story behind the image?
It seems to be a big thing in 3d work that people create very beautiful models and 'things' but dont actually create art.
It may be this model is for some bigger picture that we are yet to see of course. In that case there will be a point.
Just wondered. Not trying to annoy anyone or detract from the skill of this modeller or others who follow the same path.
Cheers
Mike R

Great work, Sebcesoir.
Mike, I see 3D models as sculptures and able to stand alone as works of art if exceptionally well crafted, lit and rendered. After all, with 3D printing advances all 3D models will eventually be able to be output as real life sculptures.

The girl is a tourist, that came out from her shower. She cut her toesnails and suddenly realise theres one longer than the ohters.
she think in herself "damn IM studpid...."
Where's the point if there's no Art ?
What is Art ? Would we be obliged to always do Art ?
As far as I'm concerned, I would say that there's two kind of people on this planet. The Artists, and the Scientists. The first ones are trying to make people feel, the other ones are trying to make people see and understand.
That's two very different ways to explore a thema. But achieving an excellent result, weither the way, is really difficult and requiers lots of hard work and talent.
So, where's the point if there's no Art ? Well, watching the result and the progress of someone who explores new boundaries in the 3D realm is reason enough, I think. To me, the point is going always a little bit further to the line where 3D and real become merged and unrecognizable.
Sorry for this little philosophical babbling. :P
Bye !
Dont worry. I was just interested in finding out what folks thought. I tended to get bored of the Poser crew due to nude model overflow without any reason other than it could be done. lol.
I see some stunning models created here but not many within a story anymore.
Art can be different things to people so I dont disagree that it could be termed a sculpture.
Maybe I see things too black and white. To me I see that with most 3d images the 'story' is, look what I (the creator) can do with this software.
Going back to the model in this thread I will say again that I find it amazing what some folks can do. I would find it even more amazing, if with that same model I felt something for her other than she's a bonny lass. ;)

BTW, I also take the buttheadman with me, so he cannot see anything!
I think this image is evocative rather than titilating. It's the difference between "nude" and "naked", if that makes any sense. One's relaxed, and expresses a beauty found only in nature. (You might look at this as glorifying god's creation, in as much as imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.) The other's pretty much opposite -- it captures or synthesizes a moment of pure manipulation.
The fact that you question the artist's motivation should tell you it's in that first category. The other one would have left no room for interpretation.
-----
I'll actually take this a step further and say this one's more artistic than any image where the story is easily gleaned.
Is there a story here? Of course. But it's up to us to decide the details. Myself, I say this woman came to a tropical island on business, but saw how much more relaxed than her everyone was, and decided to abandon her old way of life. In this moment, she is literally walking away from it, confronting her fears and coming to terms with herself.
Is my interpretation true to what the artist was thinking? Probably not. The art has a life of it's own, you see.
We each interact with it differently, as it engages us. That's the point.
skipstah70
12-11-05, 07:34 AM
Hmmm.... I'm not sure with you guys who say that this image is about "beauty" and not nudity (nothing being wrong with either of course). This image is so overtly about her breast that it isn't funny.... Look at the original reference photo... you can see that the area of interest is about the line / silhouette of the neck and head and not the breasts (that aren't even in the picture!). If you can create an image like this (nude) and make the central point something other than a breasts...or other obvious areas... then that's more of a challenge and might be a step toward evoking the "artistic". That being said... it doesn't take away from the fact this is a great model.. and fine display of craftsmanship.

skipstah70, what you see is only a crop of the original photo...
On the full photo you can see the breast of the girl how I did it...
The interest of this picture is just not only the breast, and actually your the first who seems to focus on it. And finally... Why not?

Hey skipstah70. After my initial glance at the image, which took less than half a second I guess, I found myself looking at the detail in the face, hair, ears and flowers for a LONG time. It was then that I DECIDED to move down to the breasts for a goosey. All your post says to me is that you've got loose eyeballs and/or YOU think the image is all about the breasts.
I don't I'm afraid, but I can see where you're coming from.
PEACE.
I don't believe anyone's saying the nudity isn't significant. We're saying that if you were to draw a line between "art" and "pornography", you'd find the human form to be a popular theme on both sides of the line. What seperates the two is what we're describing.
Really, it's fine that you can't see the distinction -- just accept on faith that there is one, 'cause those of us saying we can see it... can.

PEACE.Hey Craig.. the reason you looked at the head and eyes first... is because we're biologically programmed to seek out faces and features in others.. especially the eyes. Unfortunately that doesn't qualify the focal point of this image as such. A few things that make the breast the real focal point are.. 1. the downward angle of head and downcast eyes specifically which point the viewer to the breasts (doesn't happen in the ref photo). 2. breast area is the highest contrast in the imageplane (contrast between background and ribcage just under the breasts). 3. the protruding arch of the back and exaggerated largeness of rib cage and breasts... also extra image room below them gives them more importance.
I don't think anyone thinks that there is anything wrong with the nudity.. but the question as someone put it before was whether it was gratuitous. i.e. is this image as strong or stronger without "them" in the picture (personally yes). What does their inclusion say? is she "reflecting" about her breasts etc.... These are artistic questions.. The model is still great whatever way you slice it.

*claps* Really Great Work!:tu:
Keep posting Your Work its Awsom to see your workflow!
Graig Ward:
Many artist see the female and male body as an Artform... It also is the first thing what many people want to create after they have become a bit better in modeling in any packedge.
Reason why is simply because we interact with the humanspecies EVERYDAY.
And yes thats the first thing what came in my mind when i opened a 3d/2d modeling program and start learning the basics for the first time. Creating humans is what drawned me into 3d/2d in the first place...
And NO..this does not have anything to do with you as the artist being a pervert Craig Ward...
Besides, personaly i believe you can create whatever you want in 2d or 3d..there are no rules or boundries there.
Its your own fantasie.
Just that you have to know that with great power comes great responsibility. Dont show art in certain places where people will be offended or will misunderstand your art.
(Nudity or no Nudity..doesnt really matter for a true artist because he/she only sees it as a Artform from his/her own fantasie...and besides we are born naked so what is the big deal anyways?...its because we started to wear cloths and stuff like that waaay back cause of Eva's Apple what made certain people act weired to see other peoples bodyparts...what is the real reason why people start wearing clothes btw, even though it is those bodyparts what makes us really human doesnt it?...In other words a breasth should be looked at as just a normal thing if you think about it)
What i am really saying is:
We finaly are now capable to create realistic humans in 3d software...if you think about it..thats just to good to be true...to create and animate LIVE in a program. And thats how many people think aswel i believe.
And besides creating humans, make ALOT of other things what you have dreamed of in fantasie finaly come true in reallife.
Only thing left to do now is to create 3d/2d art with holograms so we can make an entire new world what really exist in rl.

Fabulous, especially when it was done!
ZB2 has exceeded the 'verse and we have all learned much since.
Simply making pores everywhere is no longer enough--- we must know where and how much all skin textures receive.
And where to get more RAM!

Without question, you have been really put in the time and effort. After looking over the model closely, there are two details you may wish to reconsider tweaking.
1. At the base of her breast, there seems to be a small indentation. I don't know if you put that there intentionally, but it doesn't look very natural.
2. Her skin pours are much too big. If her skin was orange, you may want to peel her.... try reapplying the skin texture with smaller pours.
Apart from that, great work....

Of course the name Sebcesoir speaks for itself. I admire your work.
Funny thing though, despite the fact that your work is superb, I noticed the amount of hits your post received. Then I read the title and saw the word "nudity". Then I looked at other threads that contained the same word. My conclusion: Threads with the word nudity in the title seem to get more hits. Coincidence? Hmmm...how many male members on zbrush?
Maybe I should throw it into the title of some of my work (without nudity) and see if my theory proves true. No, I'm not jealous because you get all the hits. Well, thats a lie. I'm extremely jealous but thats because you have great natural talent and I wish my work was up there with yours. Okay, so I wont try it but I'm still sure that word accounts for all the hits other artists get.
Good job :tu:
