for the benefit of other thieving crooks (including myself) a cross reference to http://www.pixolator.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=30629 might seem in order.

LOL, actually the original idea was from Bas Mazur who made a nice thistle a while ago. That's where I came across the idea for spikes using that Divide switch. But I never had an idea how to use it. Till I saw the Kooshball hairdue! I just had a mushroom omelet for Breakfast.... instant inspiration hahaha.

nice mushrooms, wouldnt eat them
just two things, the plants stem should be a bit less cylindrical and i think the mushroom kind of hair stuff should be a bit shorter on top because it gets kind of confusing

Great render Lemo :tu: ... but that very rigid frontrow of plants are not a good idea , i think !

I agree, hair is to long and becomes confusing. I tried to render with shadow, then it looks great but the shadow cast to the background layer messed everything up and in a hurry I just switched the shadows of again. Haste makes waste.... I look at it again and see how I can get rid of the shadow on the background.

Yes, Jantim... I was lazy and used the same patch of grass as copy and did not vary size or height. Nothing more boring... sighhhhh... I really have to put a tad more effort into things I post. Someone said once:If it's worth to be done, then it's worth to be done right (or to the extend of one's capabilities).

Great crit's!!! I'll revisit it later and flatten, shadow and vary things more. What do you guy's think: Should I blur the background more?

Thanks for the input!

I think if you bake the background layer then you shouldn't see shadows or you can move it back more.

keep experimenting!

Me gusta lemonnado. ¿Cómo has hecho los pinchos? Podría ser una buena solución para ponerle pelo a los personajes. ¿Has utilizado algún alpha con puntos?:tu: :tu: :tu:
