I'm not sure, but isn't Ponpono a type of fish? I just like that name for this character study.

This head was made from Zspheres and the unified skinning method. There will be a tutorial on creating a similar head soon.

Now thats the kind of eyebrows I want when I get old ;) Good picture, the eyes are very nice as is the hair.

Looking forward to the tutorial, interested in seing how much additional tweaking is involved after transforming the zspheres.

The eyebrows were done with the fiber brush and a stencil to help contain them. A few individual hairs were then painted over that.

Pompano was the only sushi I didn't care for

Always admire the way you get such a sensation of touch from your work. Your texturing is superb and gives breath to your models.
And you always make it look easy.....

You keep this up and your computer scultures are going to surpass your real sculptures....Which I saw one picture of and it was amazing..

Hi, Ken--I always look forward to your work on ZBrush Central. Would you mind telling how you got the hair? I mean, it's obviously facing backward (from the skull), but how did you get it to orient that way?

The hair was painted with the fiber brush. A b&W texture was painted and turned into a stencil to block out the front part of the head. Then the fiber brush was used with a very directional flow. (high grooming and gravity)
