hey all,

I'm looking for beta-testers for my maya based uv-pelting system (for those of us who are still mapping the old fashioned way). you can find some information here:

http://www.sunitparekh.com/pelt.html

and some movies here:

http://www.sunitparekh.com/movies/pelting/lizard_unwrap_0_2.mov

http://www.sunitparekh.com/movies/pelting/lizard_unwrap_checker_0_2.mov

http://www.sunitparekh.com/movies/pelting/fatalien_unwrap_0_2.mov

the last video is of a character I mapped, from start (cutting seams) to finish (simulating) in about 15 minutes.

If you're interested, send me a PM with some information about you (background, e-mail, etc), and i'll add you to my list. I'm trying to keep the beta list pretty small before I make a public release, so I may not be able to get to everyone.

This tool will be free once it's ready,

cheers,
sunit

Sunit,

More than slightly interesting and the videos are a revelation. Hope you get the testers you need for this worthy project!

Looks pretty interesting. Is this for Unlimited, or could it also work in Complete?

Do you usually use this to unwrap a whole figure at once, or do you break it up into smaller pieces? Either way it looks pretty useful.

I'll definitely keep an eye out for this. :D

Do think there is any chance you could make a zscript for us to use with zbrush?:D:D:D

Sunit,
Great to see you back.
This plug-in is badly needed for Maya. Great concept:tu::tu::tu:
