Sun Idol Statue - using Slosh's sunidol & Juanedl's 4 post arches!

Thanks to Slosh & Juandel, I have created this piece. I had a little trouble smoothing the arches so I made them wood, and I used a different texture on the sunidol, (hope you don't mind Slosh).
And I used a cube to model the body of the statue.

Hope it meets with approval :)

Very cool! I actually quite like the material you used on the Sun Idol. What is it?

Nice touches with the fire, it ties in perfectly with the idea of a sun idol. And the arches work great here, too. Funny, EZ suggested to me that I use them in my WIP. I opted for a different approach, using columns instead, but it was his suggestion that led me there. :tu: :tu: :tu:

The material is simply one from the Zbrush regular materials, just noisy metal, colour matched to the material used on the body (which was one from the material pak and colour altered) and modified a little with the ambient and specular sliders.

wow, thanks for giving the arches a try, Northstarr :) thats a classic mysterious atmosphere with the idol (GREAT material, especially on the body!) is attracting like a madonna-statuette and somewhat spooky at the same time. :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu:
