Hi I´ve been trying to model a little dragon
I know ho to make teeth but how do I make them fit???
the dragons mouth is a bit bent
I´ve been trying to use the marker tool , and I´ve been trying layers
but I would need to move the dragons head in order to make teeth that fit..
is there a way to do this???? http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-1002641499qso.jpg

ahm, i am sure there are very refined answers being done even while i type this, Dragonlady, but here is what i think or would do:

:b4: in case you are happy with the perspective of the Dragon’s head (i would be VERY happy with a model like this! :D) you arrange the teeth one by one by using the transformation mode(s) move/scale/rotate: model one tooth, leave edit-mode by hitting t for the 2nd time, hit w (the gyro appears) to move it to its place, drag outside the gyro down (in front) or up (to move it back on z-axis) hit e to scale it to the right size and/or r to rotate it to the right position. when happy, snapshot it (shift+S) and move the duplicate to it’s place and so on.

:b4: by using the multi-marker tool you could create a dragon head polymesh-tool. draw the dragonhead, place a marker. now do as many teeth as you think you’ll need in different sizes and place a marker for each (doesn’t have to be where they belong in the end, because you can move them afterwards (but-as far as i know- you can’t scale and rotate them, so be careful to make them the right size and in the right rotation prior to placing the marker) when done, clear the canvas and choose the multi-marker-tool. draw somewhere off the original markers and you’ll see the head and all of them teeth appearing. hit t. now you can rotate all of the objects at once. if you move the cursor close to one of the teeth you’ll see it’s hot-spot getting active. now you can drag it towards it’s place in the dragon’s mouth. do so with all of them. when another angle is needed to fit them in, just drag the cursor outside of the hotspots, and rotate the whole of them objects like in edit-mode. as long as you stay in the document with all the markers in it you can save it as a multi-marker-tool... for use in other projects you should use the make-polymesh-function in the multi-markers-tool-window. for the use of textures/materials check out Kruzr’s priceless findings (argh! i could not find them in the QuickLinks right now! it’s been about 2, 3 weeks ago Mark posted them)

:b4: probably the best/easiest way would be to use KAZ’s great teeth.ztl (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=001837) as a starting point and model them to your needs.

hope that helps! can’t wait to see your Dragon with teeth :D

heres what i used for my vampire.. i didnt use seperate teeth but rather added them in..

i made little bumps with Zadd ind DRAW>EDIT mode and then pulled them down with the EDIT>MOVE function. most chances are that the teeth will be pointing backwords, so if they are try using the EDIT>MOVE function to move the teeth's points forword.. if thats not clear, tell me and i'll post a little tutorial..
