Here is a little sculpting job, a three evenings work, made with the Practical Manual at hand in order to learn using ZBrush the right way. I don't know who is this little guy, after having completed the texture painting I saw that slightly remembers one of the characters seen in the amazing movie "Labirinth", do you remember?
Ok, now a little techno babbling: model comes from ZSpheres, meshed with adaptive skin and then divided up to 2 millions of polygons. Texture is a 4000x4000 pixel material, completely arranged within ZBrush.
I don't have words to say how I feel after a couple of hours with ZBrush. In my opinion, is like the invention of the wheel: how can one do without?
Now I'm smashing my head to regroup polygons and have the model ready to be used with Poser, thus reaching a fully poseable character. A dream!!!
Here is a little screenshot collection, no postprocessing was performed on the ZBrush renderings, just added the background and the DeepVoid logo. Let me know what about...
