Hello,

Just something i've been working on...

Don't know anything about textures yet, so this one has none...

I don't really have a '3-D program' background, so i still have some way to go before i really understand what i'm doing, (man!, clay really has much less variables to tweak or to take into consideration..ah well keeps me busy)

Still learing Z-Brush, maybe a new processor or some extra memory is in order to get more details....

anyway hope you like it

Hey, nice character.:tu:

Well texturing itself is not a hard process, you just do overall paintings using standart brush and then starting using projection master you'll do more close detailing. Just keep in mind that when you are doing overal texturing without using projection master you should go to higher divisions, because when you do paint on low rez geometry you will not be able to paint many things on only a few polygons. So real simple go to Texture, set width and height set your base color press new and start painting.

The only thing though, i most of the time use maya to create a UV map that way i can better understand what is going on when i go to photoshop for an example... Oh btw.. If you feel like wasting some money on tutorials i strongly recomend http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/
but it's mostly if you want to learn maya. to get better in zbrush the best way in my opinion is just looking in forums you WILL learn more with help of those wonderful scripts people make and tips they give.. so stick to this forum. You also could go and maybe check some more forums like www.cgtalk.com
www.threedy.com

www.3dbuzz.com loads of tutorials!
www.3dtotal.com go to the tutorails -> Maya

To work with maya you need to understand how it works and that takes time. But it is worth it and it is an amazing program.

Good luck mate.

if you want to stay in zbrush

the Practical guide (link to it in my signature) and the Projection master tutorials within zbrush help will give ya some help there.

Also this thread with Aurick's quickie PM tutorial (http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?p=168398#post168398) will help ya too.
