When it comes to Fantasy art, my favorite is Frank Frazetta. Now some may say they prefer Boris, but not me. Don't get me wrong, Boris is just fine, if you like wax figures.
Now Frazetta has the ability to make his figures jump and move. I even cut myself on a sword from John Carter of Mars (my brother claims it was a paper cut).

Anyway, this is my tribute to Boris. Keep the fire at a distance...

:b4: EDIT :b4: to add lighting change

Nice image Kaz! Wonder where he broke off that sword point? Hopefully not in one of my heroes!

This is really fantastic modeling. Those shoulder skulls are well done. The lighting change really enhances everything, especially the eyes. You lose the sword in the second one though. Maybe you could add a spotlight on the blade? This guy looks like he doesn't mess around

:tu: :tu: :tu: done, Kaz! furious expression, so many great details - the green tongue made me :D :D and spill my morning coffee!

yup, FF is the great master of fantasy-art (about 30 yrs ago i bought all of the edgar r. burroughs pocket books without being able to read them (even worse english-knowledge than today), just for the covers which were the only Frazetta-Art you could get over here at that time).

my favorite fantasy artist is Serpieri...Oh SCI fantasy??..heh heh

Yes Frazetta is great...And ya know Boris actually uses Physique contest winners as models..so offtimes youre seeing photo realistic paintings of like Carla Dunlap and such..

anyway yours is a mind boggling work --thanks for the "lesson " too.
