I understand that modern games use normal maps that can be created in Zbrush, but all i can find for Maya is info on displacement maps.

Can you create normal maps in Zbrush and render them on a low poly model in Maya??

Where can I find info on this? I have read the big Zbrush Pdf, posted on 5 different forums and checked the maya help and various rendering books but there is no mention of normal maps in Maya anywhere.

Can someone help me here as I don't want to buy Zbrush then find out that i can't use it with Maya.

Thanks for any help:(

hi

I know next to nothing about maya but don't they offer a gamer's version? I can't remember for sure but I would assume then that it would use normal maps somehow but I am wrong more often than right. Maybe if you haven't already ...forgot if you said you had......check some gamers sites?
