Hey guys, I am trying to create a good normal map for a tileable treebark texture but it's not looking exactly how I would like. What would be a good method to keep my edges sharp so that the normal map isn't so blobby? Also how could I make the texture seamless in ZBrush instead of hacking it in Photoshop? Bear in mind this is my first attempt at Zbrush.

Thanks,
Chiyo

you know what. I can help you, but i'd have to do so much explaining, lol.

if you wouldn't mind contacting me on msn messenger (you can look at my zbc profile for the contact info), i'll show you how to do what you want. But even before you do that, you'll really want to look at the tutorials I have linked below.

They may address some or all of your questions and concerns.
