If you want to stay native to ZBrush, you could try creating an alpha from any font and using this in ZBrush with Make 3D to create a 3D version of the letter. Alternatively you could use the 3D Text script avaiable for download here (http://www27.brinkster.com/ezbrush/mainTools.html). In either case save the result as a BMP and load in PS.

Two simple methods using additional free software suggest themselves. See this thread (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=010584) for Elefont, a freeware product that can be loaded into ZBrush for any further manipulation you may wish to apply, then saved out as a BMP file to load in PS.

Alternatively Cool 3D earlier versions have been around on several magazine cover disks, and are possibly available for free download from the web. Just save as BMP and load in PS.

You can also convert an imported text alpha into a Stencil, and then use the DragRectangle stroke through the Stencil to create the depth. This is actually my favorite approach.

Hi Uriash
You paint "through the Stencil" with the Drag-rect ! You can take any brush but this one is the more effective for this creation of letter with texture, material or depth :)
Trust Aurick :) Apply without reflection :)
You will cogitate after :)

The DragRectangle stroke gives you a single stroke that fills the area and is uniform throughout. Combined with Alpha 00 (the white square), you can instantly paint a uniform layer of pixols on the canvas. Just drag long enough to fill everything within the Stencil boundaries.
