Terrific likeness of Bob!
What I wanted ask though is that having read through a few of the threads on this forum, I've notice that a lot of people do their rendering in LW instead of using ZB. Being a newbie to this app I was wondering why?
Cheers!

The modeling is dead on. You combined his current facial features with the cool pre mohawk taxi drivers hair.

wow, thats a really good model man! the likeness is stunning!
if i'm to be really picky his chin might be just a tiny bit to big...

How long does it take for replies to come up? I posted my first reply around 3 hours ago so I assume it may have gone astray. This is my first (or possibly my second if my original post didn't get lost).
Terrific likeness of Bob.
What I would like to know though is many users seem to do their renders in others apps, such as LW as opposed to doing it in ZB, why? I assume there is some good reason for this.
Cheers, Eddie
thanks for viewing and compliments!!;)
hi MrLearner, you've very sharp eye, yes, the chin seem a little big
in the LW render image, but it could be due to the poor lighting effect
(sorry...i must admit i'm not good in lighting) .... the face lack of contrast
and looks washy....
here is the render in ZB....looks better...what do you think?
tks
Great likeness of Bob.
Why do you use LW render instead of ZB? I have noticed many users do this.
Thanks, Eddie
thanks eddiec,
i've not actually got the time to explore learning the renderer in ZB.
and i quite like the HDRI render in LW, which i use it a lot.
is there HDRI in ZB or something that can be acheive close like HDRI in ZB?

There is a difference between the LW render and the ZB one. I think there's a slight perspective distortion in LW render. But the LW looks better, and lighting is fine by me as I like HDRI also :)
It's hard to tell if the chin really is to big... It was just a feeling I got at first from looking at it. So I did some compairing to photographs just now, and I think that maybe it is a bit to Jay Lenoish so to speek. A tiny bit to long and fleshy?
But maybe some slightly exaggeratedit traits give the model more character?
Enough of my blabber already :)
It's a superb model anyway you look at it.

To avoid the distortion in LW adjust the lens settings of the camera.

Very fine model. :tu:
thanks to everyone for the comments & compliments again!
thanks joostbouwer for the tip, i'll try it for my next render.
hi mrlearner, really appreciate for your time and comments!
you are right about the distortion in LW, as joostbouwer advise,
i'll set the camerer to avoid the distortion the next time.
this model was actually done in less then a day and it was still incomplete,
i just couldn't wait to share this work with you all here!
i'll improved it with all the comments that i got later....
