ring ring......ring ring.....
:)
Yup.
This is a P4 nude male (sans genetalia).
I pose as much as possible inside Poser. (redundant statement?????)
Export out as OBJ.
Import and manipulate with low settings.
I create the textures outside of the Poser Transmaps. I use TextureMaster on a fresh file.
Here's MO with the second texture I'm working on. (a bit more Gooey, if you will)
I am not a purist. I can't afford to be. Time is money and although the challenge of creating such a being in Z is wonderful indeed. My clients don't necessarily care HOW I get there, just as long as I do ON TIME.
Anyway, here's a few other views of his tubby self. :D

very cool kathy made me laugh... great image and very funny too...
Kathy, if you have been off studying character work for animation, it really shows. The look on this guy's face is priceless, and the way he's leaning and posing is very lifelike and natural. I'm fascinated by this kind of stuff :tu:
Bless your heart Zoid! You noticed!
I have been studying just that, quite heavily.
I admit I cheated with Poser, but I wanted to work on armitures and animating facial expressions. I'll get to the subdiv etc later.... harhar
Thanks for the notation. :D

Hi kathy. I have to tell you, I love this guy, andodgenous tho he (it?) may be. A great charaacter!
How much $$$ is poser? Is it worth it?
Or why bother? I sure would like to know.
Poser is 219.00

I actually bought the Poser/Bryce/Canoma set for 600.00 when it was under MetaCreations Inc. I used it extensively to create a 24 month marketing plan for a software company.
Here's my VERY first 3D pic EVER:

His name is MORPHman!!
((copyright 1999 Kathy LaFollett))
I actually PAID for a copyright on this guy.
Everything you see is an object. This bad boy took 2 days to render. (The final piece was 41 Meg to the LDP whoo hoo!)
It was used on a 6 foot by 8 foot back lit display center for touring. I ended up using Poser to make Morph into many scenes and situations.
I hadn't touched Poser for 7 months. I just as of late picked it up as a short cut to study.
Is it worth it?
Well, I suggest you get the demo and see what there is to see. I do like the heiarchy library, and there are THOUSANDS of free resources you can download all over the net. You can translate object files with poser (DXF to OBJ to 3DS and back again).
Don't get the Poser Pro Pack unless you plan on doing this full time and in an extensive manner.
DAZ inc (link found on the page above) has two VERY morphable figures called Vicki and Michael. They offer the control to create ANY creature imaginable. I personally have no plans on buying them.
ZBrush is the adrenaline for Poser 4.
It's a cool tool in my arsenal.

way kewl....what did they use to print out such a large piece?
Kingsley Displays in St Pete has some sort of MONSTER printer hooked up to a RIP through Mac. Cecil said he was capable of producing 10 ft by 10 ft pieces. (I think that's what he said) He created the "architecture" as well as inserted artwork for those booths you see at tradeshows.
I sent him the first original (not knowing anything at that time about LDP) that was about 130 Meg. He gave me a call and said that although he could handle such a large raster job, it would be 2004 when it got done. hahaha!
SO, I had to rethink my formating etc to get it to a respectable 43meg. :p
Not too soon after that I won another contract for a new large display for a wireless company. 8 foot by 8 foot. But the client didn't like 3D so I was FORCED in to VectorLand and Illustrator. Now THAT was a boring job.
LOl love your WIP, i cant wait to see it finished!
