Hi people. I am a new user to the forums and a longtime fan of 3d. Here is my first project I made in ZBrush. I am a sculptor who sculpts with clay but I have been wanting to sculpt in 3d for a long time and I finally made the jump. I know this is mediocre compared to most of you people with crazy skills but you gotta start somewhere. :) This was modeled from a zsphere in about 3 hours. I've been dabbling with Zbrush for about a week and almost gave up from frustration but last night I trucked on through and I think I figured the basics of modeling a head, at least I think I did. He has more refinement, especially around the eyes and temples.

I had some questions I hoped some of you could help me with. Notice the jagged pixels around his eyes and head? Is there a way to avoid that?

My other question is the Focal shift under the draw command. How should that be set for real fine details? I couldnt get fine lines in the ears for some reason. I know I have a long way to go but I love it and cant wait to learn more! Hop eyou like this first try.

I'm working on a creature on 4 legs for my next project. I'll post pics soon.

Really off to a good start! I agree with Frenchy, your background in sculping does show! Very nice.
