Hello all I have privledge in saying that I will have one of the first posts of the new year. This is a little picture that I've been working of here and there for a few weeks,I spent much time on the face coloring and texturing. As far as the shirt goes,I have never attempted clothing before so I had to compremize between my want to create a quailty image and my limited skills. Comments?????????????

at this forum ive have seen newbies who have little art in there background emerge to become great artist... shoot just learning zbrush is a challenge by itself... ive see every image that comes on this site and each time i see people improve in their work...you have improved alot.... its nice to know that there are people out there who are willing to stick with something to achieve greatness... keep up the good work and dont forget to comment on other newbies, because you were once there yourself... chow...

this is a superb and veryvery well done character, drkwarrior! fantastico! no reason to be unsatisfied with the clothing or anything else in there. if this is a kind of compromise it is very much on the hi-quality-side, imho! excellent and manymany :tu: s!

I think the expression on his face is priceless! The fact that you were able to create it speaks well of your talent. Even the clothing works. Not having it strongly detailed keeps the eye focused on the main part of the image.
Your skin texturing is top quality, as is the background painting.
Those eyebrows.... love em!

I really like this!

The sky is perfect for the scene, with just the right kind of mood for a gentleman such as this to be out for a midnight stroll. The expression on his face is absolutely priceless, and really believable. You've also done excellent texturing.

Your ZBrushing has come along by leaps and bounds. How long have you been using the program? Two months?

Amazing!

Beautiful, D/W!!! :tu: :tu: :tu:
Great conception, and wonderful execution, and you avoided all the usual styles, to invent your own!
Fine work on the modelling, and I love the pose and expression...
one question...How high do you have the Global Ambient light set? You might be interested to see what happens if you set it to 0, and then re-render your scene...Check it out.
Great piece!

Seeing Auricks' reply, reminded me again of who gave me that advice originally about the Ambient light settings...
Thank you Matthew, for that and many other fine tips!
