Hi Havran
Very cool !
The next step
Use the same texture for erode your volume !
:b3: in Edit mode Modifier /Selection/Mask all
:b3: Texture wished Enable Make Alpha
:b3: Modifier /selec/Alp for past the texture on the mask
:b3: Mod/Deformation/InFlat Negative
:b3: you can reuse the same texture for the volume
So you will obtain now the same volume with the same texture but eroded !
And with some light, shadows, best render you have a Master Piece :)
Hope this help

Just quicky example of the method above :)

sorry Frenchy, there's only room for one chef in my kitchen
-- but your quicky demo looks cool -- it deserves its own thread
-- those items look like seed pods or some kind of fossils

thanks MTB and juandel -- it means a lot to me :)
I feel like I almost had some control with this one :D

Hi Havran
It was just a suggestion.
I am confused that you take that for an competition or rivalry
Have happy Zbrushing !

ya, looks cool, but some corrosion that pilou was talking bout would look great

believe it or not, I started this with the intention of eroding it because of a comment Frenchy made in another thread [and also, it was going to be a gargoyle with wings, rain streaks, mold, etc.]

but after that went off the rails :D, it started to remind me of Roger Dean, the dove in the stone, the dragon and the pearl, Ralph Lauren ;) -- I thought the erosion effect would just clutter it or detract from it, from my POV, so I stopped

a good part of art is knowing when to stop, just as the end of a game of Go comes when neither player can place a stone without making things worse

and as I mentioned, it's a small kitchen here -- but if people want to SHOW what they mean with a finished dish from their own kitchens (as opposed to typing a few words), that would be cool (heheh, a challenge :))

some other notes: there are three materials here, all from the Material Pack zscript -- there are about five or six of the same object that started as an Alpha-->Make3d with deformations using the Twist slider and various combos of XYZ axes, placed with various rotations and sizes -- a little tinting here and there with RGB intensity about 3-5%

best wishes to all
