wow this is a really good head. I like it a lot. Those are supposed to be eye glasses, right? My suggestion would be to place flattened spheres in the indentions, because glasses stick out of the head. You could maybe make them reflective, like sunglasses or something. I have no idea what drkwarrior meant, this seems as p.c. as anything i've seen, plus p.c. is mostly a joke now anyway.
again, great job,
Daniel
 Your modeling skills are quite impressive :tu:
You may want to try this
thread (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=000124) for texturing and of course TextureMaster.

Fantastic head modelling :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu:

Great hoead, nice expression. Has a very nice feel to it. Interesting how you made the glasses part of model. :)
Tanks to all by the praises and incentives...
I admit that the drkwarrior comments consumed my neurons...
I live in Brazil, I don't know the " rules " of other countries and my English is almost that leaning in a translator... I would not like to infringe the precepts and other people's values... my intention went to just expose myself... to expose the progresses that I have been using ZBrush...
I'm really very sad for having offended somebody.... although I don't know as!
I leave to the all my apologies if I made some aggression in the effort of trying to communicate in another language... I will try to be more observer than interventor
I feel a lot...

Hey X, you have nothing to apologise for. Your head was human, well-executed, and had no negative connotation attached to it as far as I'm concerned. Political Correctness is not always logical or called for when dealing with art. You also live in a place, South America, where there are many people living together with all sorts of ethnic backgrounds...I've been to South America, and I understand your puzzlement at the 'PC' thing, but don't worry, your image IMHO is just fine! :tu: :tu: :tu: ;)
Obrigado stonecutter! http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-1007518064und.jpg
X it is a wonderful model.
YOU HAVE NO REASON TO APOLOGIZE.
You did nothing wrong.
"Politically Correct" isn't correct. REALLY.
Please don't X out your work because someone said it wasn't "politically correct".
I wonder if "politically correct" would have applied if you had titled it "white man".
Probably not.
I love your work X.

Xexas..........
No need to apologise....ethnic differences are no big deal.
Here is an old model I posted early in the year.......I thought I had lost it when my harddrive on another computer went ta tas. Found it on a zip drive under a strange name.
This bloke is negro.
Actually my great great grandmother was a slave......way back I know....I find no disrespect intended by you.

Thank you Ed... beautiful model that... you were already a master there is a long time :tu:
I'm with Kathy and practically everyone else who has spoken up in here. You can't please everyone, and that was the whole problem with political correctness to begin with.
First off, you did a very nice representation of a black man. Nothing offensive about it at all. He looked like he could be someone's grandfather! The technique that you used on the hair is in particular something that I would like to know more about. But if simply making an image of a black man is politically incorrect, then I think TV must be rampantly incorrect by having black people on TV and even shows or movies with all-black casts. Since that is obviously not the case, then I can't find a single reason why this image would be considered to be politically incorrect why it could offend a soul.
Even if PC wasn't dead (except in the form that sits on a desk and crunches numbers *grin*), some of the greatest art in history have been works that go against the attitudes of the period. For that matter, look at the huge appreciation for political satire, which is about as politically incorrect as you can get! Since art is clearly exempt from such matters as who it might offend -- unless it is deliberately malicious or horribly tasteless -- then there is no way that this little bit of artwork should have been judged on any grounds other than the quality of its execution.
The only thing that I find offensive is that you (or anyone) would feel pressured to hide or remove a very well executed artistic model. I really didn't want to say anything on this subject until I saw that little bit of self-censorship. It's just not right. If someone really wants to complain about something, maybe it should be the rampant nudity in a certain other forum, or the general sad state of the environment.
But wouldn't it be much more fun if we could just leave politics out of the equation altogether and instead focus on the quality of the works that are created?
Xexas, please shrug off whatever sadness you may feel. I believe that far more people in here are impressed by your Black Man than could have been offended by him. Especially in light of the fact that you clearly meant nothing more than to do a nice bit of modeling -- which is exactly what you achieved. Keep turning out more artwork. Create it for yourself, share it with the community, and if others enjoy it so much the better. If they don't; oh well. The important thing is that you made something that you are happy with!
EDIT: Ed, you posted that pic as I was writing. Wonderful job, that! He is awesome, and I'm glad you brought him back. I missed him the first time around. Such character!

Xexas.....
I forgot to add......I think you are going to be one of the better model makers around here the way you are improving with every model.
Truly excellent work. I look forward to more, and I promise not to interrupt your posts anymore........with my models. :)

Xexas, you've already gotten my email by now, so you know how I feel...I want to also agree on this public forum with the sentiments expressed here...It was a wonderful piece, and showed a loving observation, and a respectful character depiction. You have nothing to apologise for, and self-censoring is not needed! :)
aurick,
Your words were very concrete... I thank for your pledge and time!
Tanks and tanks! ;)
Ed, you don't interrupt my posts... as other people that comment, encourage and criticize, you do with that I can address my efforts to get better....
thankful ;)

I was not offended by your picture,I am actually rather fond of it.I was simple pointing out a common stereotype upholded by many americans that all black men have wide noses and big lips.Which is tipicly correct but the titling of black man cought my attention for some stupid reason and I posted that(now regreted)reply.I did not wish to make you feel regretful of sorry because you had no reason to be.As someone said in reply to your post(I can't remember who)art has no race or ethnic boundaries, well maybe they were not the exact words but give me a break I didn't exactly write it down.I am actually in the progress of making a native american father and son picture which will be posted in a few days.
Great job and keep up the good work.

What's this "not very politicly correct" comment? What's being said here? C'mon, there are more than just "white" people on this planet. Any race, or society can be, should be represented in art. Or should we create an androginous, non-color, religiously ambiguos race - whoes sole purpose is to be rendered in art, film and novels?
xexas, your modelling is first rate. Keep it up; you are doing wonderfully.
Not only great models, but the txt file to boot. I love watching you create a piece. Even if it does frustrates me when I try to do as well. I love this one. And look forward to more. Black, white, blue or green... ~G~

To be more accurate you should have named in Grey Man but what the heck. V-nice modeling. Get it textured for top marks. If you aren`t good with texturemaster yet work through those cool examples that come with it and you will be up and running in no time.
Go for it.
Glen
You certainly have the knack of moving the polygons in the right direction. On the texturing side of it I'm only just learning myself, but like everthing it gets easier.
Its certainly worth texturing those excellent models you make.
Dave.
