well i finally finished my (extremly drawn out)Zproject. The head and bust are modeled out of two separate spheres and the hair is attatched to the head. i used Texture master for painting. Many thanks to flamable/chris for the frame (BTW PIX it would be great to get more wood materials). Any way i'm finally finished and i'm very proud of myself.

very ultra pretty there Rabbit....and it's all Z? Nicely done and beautiful subject matter.....definitely a good one for your portfolio :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu:
And so you should be proud of yourself whiterabbit! This is fantastic Your've done a GREAT job on the painting. That looks like real living flesh with blood and veins pumping away underneath! Nice job of adding the suttle material changes (lips) and the hair looks well done!

(The frame's a bit distracting though)

I agree that you should be proud of your achievement. An attractive face as you have modelled is extremely difficult due to how familiar we are with faces. The lips and proportions are great. The colouring is good although the face is a bit muddy, needs a bit of lightening. A spot of shadow under the chin wouldn't go astray. The hair has that wonderful stuck on quality of the 1920's. After looking at it again I think the head could be a bit bigger in relation to the body, but it only seems that way from a distance.
Overall an excellent result. :tu: :tu: :tu:

You have every right to be proud as hell, Rabbit!!!!
This is wonderful in every respect, and the character you got in her face is astounding!
It reminds me of a Late-Victorian portrait, done by a master!
Fantastic work!

thank you all soooooo much for your kind and helpful posts. yes it is all Zbrush Ron. Upham-i used your suggestion of starting with a green base color except mine was more blue. i was quite pleased with the results. i'm glad i did this project. i learned (and applied) so much. Thanx again.
This peice came out excellent! Be proud :) :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu:

Great image white rabbit I think you will go far with the Big Z
Wow,that turned out beautiful.Robo's right
when he says haunting.
This is so beautifully done. The connection of the head to body is perfect and I love the faraway expression. I'm looking forward to the next steps you take with ZBrush. :tu:

Hey, i may be biased, hey, isn't my sister really good at this program? I think she's already better than me at some aspect. BTW, for those of you who don't know, white rabbit really is my sister :)
congrats, w/r, on a really, REALLY impressive piece of Z-art.

Your talent is evident. A fine work of art.
Excellent work! She's one of the best original ZBrush people that I've seen. You should feel very proud. And that hair is beautifully textured!

well, i went back and messed with the lighting and ambience some so the colors are truer to what i originally intended. since i do all my painting on a notebook pc, the colors looked good on my screen but darker on desktop monitors. this one looks really washed out on my screen.

The execution is awesome. The expression on her face is very evocative. She reminds me of a photo I once saw of Virginia Woolf: very pretty, but a little sad with a far-away look in her eyes. The subtlety of light and shadow across her face and body is really impressive.
