hello! i'm more and more interested by the link between zbrush and drawing, trying to get a sort of "3d freehand style"... ;) everything z, except the sort of stick she hold; friendly M. http://www.pixolator.com/ubb/uploaded_files/user_image-1047652405zhj.jpg copy

Hi Marcel
Always Charest inspiration :)
Great Class !
And why not the stick with Zbrush ?
Pilou
ps Pour le maniac, Reédite ton premier post et supprime la ligne défaillante, cela fait désordre :D

:)je sais pas rerediter mon prem post, ca risque de rester defaillant; and, fp, i love the "golden age "style, but charest is not the first to use the loosed line issued from the structrured one... in fact, it's absolutely classic,as the "3 values" grey, black and white; the fun is to use a so old"lady" of the drawings style where she never go; that's what i try, using 3d... amitiés m.

Hello Marcel

yes, yours is also convincing...i suppose it's possible to model "industrial" forms in z brush, but i'm not sure of the wish to have "everything in one"; in other words, i think, seeing the level of zbrush, that it would'nt be very difficult to add what other soft have, like a sweep 2rails, and extrude, and loft, and blend surface, and so on...the main point seems to me that zbrush has unique possibilities, and when i do things in other soft, they always finish in z...but i did'nt explore all the possibilities of z, of course...

Allez Marcel, un effort pour l'édition des "Posts" Y a que le premier pas qui compte :D
Entrainement sur le premier, aucun risque, y a que du texte, c'est moins dangereux que le saut à l'élastic :D
Pilou
Ps Zbrush have many possibilities for make forms :) And I am in little desagree with you :) I think that, then Zb will have animation it will be a famous " all in one " :D

Meanwhile I'm far too admiring to say anything at all :) Instead I would simply echo filament9's comment.

Marcel,
Your work always speaks for itself. This is yet another wonderful piece! You have achieved a very illustrative look!
One minor gripe... Around her collar it looks a bit pixelated and her hand seems kind of masculine or perhaps overdeveloped... if this was your intention then please disregard my critiques! I think this piece is great either way... as are all of your works!
Best regards,
Michael

:) pushgetty, you're absolutely right; in fact, i intend first to model a glove, but did'nt go all the way,; the arm is also too high, i've changed that, but have no timùe now to model or a real hand, or a true glove; for the pixel, it's unified skin: i don't understand, maybe aurick has an idea ;) but sometimes they have this "polygon"look... usually i smooth in psp, but time... thank you for your very kindly comments, friendly M.

Marcel,
In order to smooth an adaptive skin mesh you must slide the subdivision smoothness tolerance slider to 1 (circled in yellow) at the top of the Ztool/Modifiers subpallette. Also if this doesn't smooth it enough then you can increase the subdivision surface density using the divide slider (circled in red)that is right next to the smooth slider.
Keep up the inspiring work Friendly M.
Best regards,
Michael
