I have been using an interesting method to paint skies and backgrounds recently. This tip is good for newbies and old bees alike. The DragRectangle Stroke was demonstrated in Pixolator's "Rusted Golden Idol" script and also is featured in the TextureMaster tutorial. Now here it is again in a Zscript that I made that shows how a paintstroke can be transformed and used in an interesting way. DragRect.txt (http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_file-1010817842dwl.txt) Enjoy :)

Thanks for the script Zoid, we cannot learn to many techniques. Since I do more painting than modeling I am sure that I will find it useful. Once again thank you.

Thank you all for the kind comments. I enjoyed being able to share this.

EZ, your sky is a beauty and it's reassuring to see that this works for someone else.

Juandel, I'm off to your thread directly after this posting to add this script. Thanks for reminding me. My techniques used here are also a result of seeing what you and many others did in the skymaking thread.

Stonecutter, What a beautiful and eloquent comment! I'm very flattered, Thanks

Trying out your methods. This is what I came up with. I hope I have been a good student, and get a passing grade. http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-1011065025eaw.jpg

Hi DeeVee, I saw your note this morning and I painted this at lunchtime. I didn't record a script of this because it would go on for about an hour. I'll try and make something this evening that briefly describes some watery tips that I like to use
