Hi Dragonlady
This happened to me also .
I was digging my memory for when the time change happened, if I sent in the # for re-registration. I thought I did or maybe I forgot to? Hmmm maybe AOL ate the my mail AGAIN!lol.
Either way ZB is down until I receive a new number ;(. I also sent an e-mail, but I always worry if they received it because I know AOL sometimes acts up with certain servers. Im sure it will be straightned out soon :)

In the future, please send any registration questions to register@pixologic.com or to me instead of posting them in here (it saves time).

Thanks!

I've just be blighted by the strange phenomena as discussed above.
All of a sudeen on a fully registered Mac version goes kaput and tells me my temp serial no. has expired.

Ofcoarse I'll now have to wait for the replacement.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, why can't we have our own permanent code as we used to?
Sometimes I feel this present system a wee bit detrimental to a fully registered user like myself.
When I first bought ZBrush it came with my own personal key,the updates with the altered registration system have shifted the user ownership goal posts.

I love this application with a passion but this issues still really gets my goat.

Infact I'd go as far to say that this is the feature I most like to see in the next update.
Give me back my intellectual rights for 1 user ownership 24-7.

I'm a little confused, Boozy. The permanent serial number has never gone away. When you install ZBrush, you enter the temporary serial number to be up and running immediately, then you send in for your permanent number.

If something happens that causes ZBrush to require you to re-register, it's just a matter of following the Troubleshooting instructions that are in the Serial_Number.txt file to request a new temporary serial number that will get you back up and running within minutes. Then you send off for your new permanent number.

You shouldn't be stuck waiting for long, at all.

Dear Aurick,
No the permanent serial number is still there in my ZBrush folder.
juandel kindly informs me that it's a mac version bug,and that a few restarts may or may not sort it out.

Many thanks juandel for your reply.

you are welcome, boozy! :D

i hope to simply re-start z-brush (mayhaps twice or thrice) helps you to re-achieve that "congratulations...." window! in my case (both with macos 9.1 and 8.?) it usually does. running a defrag-app now and then, deleting the z-virtual-mem-file and keeping alt + apple pressed when booting the mac (now and then) to revamp the file-structure helps to diminish the occurence of this lil annoyment, methinks.
