I was wondering if the ability to selectively optimize a polymesh created from an adaptively skinned zsphere will be addressed in v1.6 or even 2.0?
This is what I mean:
I have a 3d object created in Zbrush, let's say for example a face. I need to optimize the top of the head because that part of the mesh isn't going to been seen so why devote polys to it, right?
Creatng the head from a Sphere3D:
When the head is created in this method there is no problem masking off the top of the head, inverting the mask and applying the optimization deformation.
Head is created from ZSpheres and skinned adaptively:
When the head is made in this manner, masking and the slider seem to yield little to no effect. Using the optimize slider seems only to yield the same result no matter what its setting. The masking also seems tgo have to bearing on the model and the optimization as ZBrush ignored the masked areas and optimizes the whole model.
Now I know both of these "issues" have been brough up in other threads, I'm wondering if there are plans to allow the optimizing function to work with masking on Adaptivly skinned models... Pixolator? Aurick? Anyone?
