I have this : all colors have the same "Z"
It's not an object.
I want erase the pinky background (inside too)for replace it by "pure Black".
But nothing esasily works :( Not enough imagination at this hour
Of course not a paint pixol by pixol or with Alpha square + Paintbrush :)
Have you any idea ? A sort of "Erase brush" selective or a Brush Color Black selective !
Or other, I think that is a trick with the Alpha + layers :)
I am not very tricky this day !

Hi Namek
All must be done in ZB, no cheating :)

ok , then can it be completely black and white or does it have to stay red ?
Try MRGBZGrabber with Shaded RGB and AutoCrop off. Then take that alpha, invert it and make a stencil. Then use the eraser tool...

Yes Kaz, That's works fine !
I have thinking of this sort of trick, in fact I have found the same while you post :)
Thanks a lot !
And why this question, because I have finding something very simple
for make Alpha 3D a little more easy than the method of Cameyo for drawing a cubic form :)
But I have needing your trick :D
Tut will comes soon :)

yup I found it too , I didnt use the stencil though , I inverted the texture , made an alpha , created a 3dplane Divided it a bit , wrapped the texture on it , applied the alpha mask , inverted the mask , enabled texturing and colored black in the mask.

Hi Namek
The Kaz method is more easy and quicky, with no offense :)
I don't want plan 3D, no enough practical :)

hehe , no offense taken , I always tend to do it the hard way :p
Anyway it's nice to experiment a bit.

Hi to all of you
I,m new to ZBrush and busy for a week now
with various results.
I have been downloading and reading all and everything well about and visited several sites and topics.
It is a great piece of software without doubt but very hard to get into coming from pieces like Bryce and Truespace and Amorphium.
But what Ive seen till now beats everything
 .
Ive been following severall discussions about whats supposetly wrong about the package and the reaktions whitch proved the
complainers wrong because of the nature of
2D 2.5D and 3D.
But indeed when I see what methods to use just to change the background collouring
I can Imagine a special palet witch manages
severall thing that could greatly improve the software without destroying anything thats allready there.
A sort of magicwand for selections and easy partial deleting is something that could prevent from having to start all over because of a wrong choice or the lack of immediate sollution it would be of use to
improve masking 2D and maby 2.5D aswell.
With a warning that you loose maby depht information still there could be a real improvement to stay in Zbrush alltogether.
An other suggestion is a special palet for markers including selecting from a list and reordering renaming maby combined with the special functions regarding to the multimarker the meshpalet could be resided here too this gives the possibility to keep all objects and meshes in the file without overwriting the original default pallettes.
This could be a saveable pakket to easy work on a project for future reference.
Enough for now.
It will take many more hours for me to master this great software but the possibilitys are truly great.
O by the way I just like graphics and desktop enhancements and beatifull things and people ofcource.
First I was in love with Bryce than with Amorphium and now with ZBrush
I dont like the big software packages like
Lightwave or Maya and I dont have the need for them too.
I hope to show you a screenshot soon for now
I,m just trying out severall tutorials and
experiments mainly trying to develop methods
because that is the best way to come to reproducable results I think
ps There seem to be a lot of nice people in this forum very helpfull.
Some introduction huh?
Accidently I made a lizzard like skin just by the default simplebrush placing just a few strokes all over with default brush size 64 and basic material too so from
init situation
next I choose the clonerbrush and control clicked in the centre of the righthand
quarter of the screen than cloned around and around and around it keeps copying itself and the bubbles become smaller and smaller
Then I coloured it green in two shades
Next I used the brush that enhances just slihtly to make the deeper parts more distinct
thats all but it looks rather nice if I had used the tilde it would be a texture i think.
I tried to load a screenshot but im not at all familiair with html or ubb sorry maby later.

Hi Dave
Welcome aboard !
Don't judge too speedy the soft by this particular thread :)
It was a particular situation that I Have started :)
Zbrush is not a usual prog else what is the interest to make one more photoShop, one more Bryce, one more 3DMax, one more Painter, etc...
It's a very funny prog in any category of use :)
And as usual a little "in handy" is neccessary but as any prog !
Take a look at Quick Guides (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=010737)
Have happy Zbrushing !

Bring the picture into ZBrush.
Do a Best Render...make sure adjustments is on.
Once done, use the curve to make the pink go white and the red to black.
Now, MRBGZ is and voala!...or just export as psd/jpg and import it back in as alpha.
