I made an ugly model of a head kinda thing and wanted to make it look like it was popping outa some kinda nasty water...

I think the water kinda came out good... looks like pond water exploding... or a poor excuse for jade... or me messing with mrgb grabber thingy... I'll try not to post every single image I do but I think for a second attempt (and it took like 20 minutes all together, including like 600 undo's) it came out ok...

ps... I realy dont have much modeling experience... i used to screw around in 3dstudio (a friend had it) and truespace... I made mainly shiny balls... acualy, i made some very shiny balls in povray too... i am the master of shiny balls (?)

well I like what youhave done so far...I like the green foamy texture..and I like the start on the creature...and better to have shiny balls than no balls atall :) very impressive start though, keep us posted with this project

Well... I dont think that last project was going anywhere... this could be cool though... I think this is officialy the fourth head I've ever tried to model in any program... I even used another layer for the colar thing... then slid the layer on the z axis... I realy like the way layers work... also tried to do a better texture... I may try to get some sort of hair on it (like, how pixolator has the whispy hair on his gorilla'esc faces) but it seems pretty jagged looking... i will mess with it more... man... i love modeling in zbrush!

lookin good...reminds me of one of those Eqyptian dog sculptures.....very nice done....your postings are going very nicely
You're coming along very quickly, indeed! And no need to apologize -- we've all been in the position of just getting the program and then discovering how much fun it is. Those first projects are always pretty lame compared to what comes later, but they are still something to be proud of!
By the way, the jaggies that you're getting with the Fiber Brush are due to some interesting quirks in the way that tool works. THIS THREAD (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=001244) should clear up some of the mystery for you -- even though it doesn't talk about hair, the principles are the same.

that's a very nice Doberman in the second one, and you should definitely think about using the fiber brush on it!

both pics are great. i would love to see more of your work/experiments. they're all really good. the water in the top pic really looks like it's bubbling around that well-modeled head. great teeth as well.
the dog man thing with the color is very cool. great job on the ears and nostrils. you did really good with the texture too. keep it up!

your work is really showing some rapid progress. the water was very convincing and the dog head is exceptional. If you work the nose area a little more it would look more realistic if that's what your going for. all around great work.

That dog has a really cool look to it. Might expect it to be a bronze sculpture even. Good work! Keep them coming.
The dogs wonderful and the first pictures good. Your doing great, so no sleeping now theres no time for that.

Ditto to all the above,Plus this is a Nice dog ! I should know as a Vet. You are making solid inroads into the program. Be warned it is difficult to tear yourself away when you start to get results, and these folks on this forum start encouraging you. There will be many sleepless nights in the future, I predict it !
I think it came out pretty well. I like the grren foamy water, and the head does have a good expression on it. I like those teeth! :)
