View Full Version : Zspheres + Texturemaster in 1.55b question?
I am curious about something real quick. Please help if you can, I appreciate it. I love the new Zsphere option, I like it much better than meta-balls. However, I have a question concerning the Texturemaster using with it.
When I make an adaptive skin or even the other, it works fine, but when I use texture master to "pickup" or "drop" the object back onto the canvas, it doesn't translate the color and whatnot right. It just looks all broke up. Is anyone following me yet? :(
Please help.....

I am just guessing that you are makeing a lo-poly mesh....
here are a few steps you can try, after you save your tool.
on left side of screen look for the textures menu and expand it, type in atleast 1024x1024 and press the new button...the bigger the texture the more detail you can add to the texture.
on right side of screen expand the tool menu and then expand modifyers... then textures... and press the AUV button... even if it is already lit, push it anyway.
then under tool, and modifyers set the smooth to .0001
Save your tool under a diffrent name (just in case).... and try useing texture master again, and it will probably work...
if you are still getting distortion try above steps and use a bigger texture , 2048x2048 I have pretty good luck with...
But I am makeing videogames and I have to keep my texture packs small... I am stuck useing 512x512 and 1024x1024 because of filesize of texture...
If you are doing the same thing in gameing you may want to take the mesh to an outside program and UV map it and then use Zbrush in 3d with texture master for the basic base texture... then go into 2d mode and edit the texture manualy for the fine details, then you are sure to get a sharp and undistorted texture (depending on your UVmapping skills)
I usualy just do a basic textureing then I go into 2d mode for just the fine details... like fingers and faces and stuff...
well anyways, I am just a newbie,
and there are a few other posts here on the forums describeing this stuff in detail, I see other people able to do fine details in 3d mode (useing texturemaster), I just havent mastered how to do it yet...
Hope this helps :)
You'll find a concise list of the steps to take when using AUVTiles in this thread (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=010200).
