Hello as you can tell i am a noob to ZBrush and the forums. i have worked with other graphics programs before including Photoshop, Fireworks and Swift 3D, however i have never been so excited to work in a program as i am about learning to work in ZBrush!
i am egar to get started with some 3D modeling projects, but i have questions. i posted a question in the FAQs area, so i will not double post it!
you all have created some amazing work and i can't wait to learn from you as well as to contribute that which i can!

hello and welcome, NeoFight! :)
as for your question in the FAQ-forum

quote:
... i was just wondering if the marker process described above will allow me to save a project, close ZBrush and continue to model the same 3D object at a later date?

... saving a z-document (.zbr) saves the markers, the pixols on canvas, lights, rendersettings... but not the tools/customized objects or any customized textures or alphas. to be able to continue modelling your 3d-object in another session it is necessary to save your tool (usually a .ztl) via the saveas button on top of the tool-icon. this isnt enabled in demo-mode. you dont necessarily have to reload the whole .zbr to model on (the saved tool can be loaded into any .zbr, of course), but in case you are particularily happy with its positioning and surroundings, the marker will put you right there: in the new session, if you have followed the marker process described in the FAQ-thread, you clear the layer the object is located on to get rid of its snapshot pixols (if its the only object on that layer only, of course, otherwise its getting a bit difficult), load the saved tool/object, look for the marker, redraw the object and hit t to be in editmode again to model on. before closing and saving the edited document the edited tool has to be saved too, of course, to have the new version at hand next time.
sounds confusing? thats just me :D in fact its very simple. a few selfmade experiences will explain things much better to you :)
hope it helps anyway
