hi Azerty
All details that you show are made with the technic of Box Selection Aera in Edit mode on a simple Volume.
And after some inflate you can deform the entiere volume ! And put a checker texture :)
You can show a good example of the box selecting in the script of the Gobelin dans le gobelet :) (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=010846)
Have happy Box Selecting :)
Pilou
Ps Of course
Stevie can correct if I am wrong :)

beautiful BEAUTIFUL work!
i like the contrast between the two figures and the wonderful texturing you have created.
thanks for sharing!
Jeez excellent work(as always)SR!Love the new hairdos you've been showing recently.FANTASTIC!
Cool, fantasic , amazing art
Ur coloring style is not colorful yet fantasic. Wonderful color style.
Was wondering, how u did those coloring? Did u paints those shades or r they just effects of lightings?
just One more thing, is the model u did all round model and texure, or detail r only place where they r seen and need? trying to understand wat is a better way of doing thgs.

Wonderful As Usual!! The flowing cloak is fantastic, (as is everything else).
The dry ice effect, the stars...its almost romantic! You say 'the modeling', does that mean that 'the colouring' is yet to follow?

For Azerty :)
The Ctrl+Drag must be starting out of the sphere ! (for more precise selection go there :) (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=011070)
How I imagine the Stevie-Rae method of conception :)

azerty : I'll put up a mini step by step in the next day or so . ;)
Frenchy : Cheers ,thats just about it !
;)
Crisis : The effect your talking about was done using the the highlighter brush ,to
enhance the lighting settings .
The models are in parts ,but all fully modeled ,so they would look right in any pose.
Belleski :I started painting it last night.
s borg: This took around 5 hours to complete the modeling, ready to paint and texture.
Thankyou for all for your compliments, much appreciated !
Steve.

Pilou
Ps It's a photo, no Zbrush !
How do you achieve the wonderful smoothness of the muscles? When I use the smudge function it doesn't appear so soft.
Is it just a "Smooth" parameter applied?

Hi Tayete
I don't answer for Stevie but maybe the muscles are model3D with some smooth :)
And paint on the final image :)
Hope this help !
Pilou
ztevie,thanks for your reply.
5 hours? and with all that detail.
that's one of the things i love about zbrush.
also, have you had any success translating these ideas into another 3D package for animation.
i remember you saying in a previous post you were going to attempt this in lightwave.any luck yet?
i'm a lightwaver myself,so i'm interested in seeing how well it works.
plus, your designs are SO DAMN COOL, i just wanna see them LIVE! :)
thanks again.
