My first fully ZBrushed model (ahhhrrrr.....almost....;) )
Inspired by the headWIP challenge I tried for 2 days to make a headmodel starting with ZSpheres....and well...ehhr...I can't do it  ....
Then I came across this thread on CGTalk where some people were modeling cool alien heads....and they started of with a subdivided cube....So I tried that, in combination with ZBrush Edgeloops.......its f*ckin brilliant!!!!
I am in LOVE with this program !!!! It's so amazing...definitely brings the fun back into modeling !
Downside.....it's addictive...so should come with a health warning:D .

This is a link to yet another very cool ZBrush thread on CGTalk with a ZScript you can download....I followed more or less the same procedure...

Tortilla1: Ahhh...A character after my own heart...

Really nice sculpting. The lighting is interesting too. How did you get the mottled light effect?

It's funny, most of my best head models are made with a spherized cube also. It gives me the best control.

Keep 'em coming, I like your work, my friend...:D

tortilla1,
You are right ZBrush should come with a warning label or something because it is addictive. Cube modeling I'll have to try that. This guy is cool . I like the dapple lighting.

cool model. but that light just kicks ass!!! i think you should give that guy some eyebrows so he can look a little more pissed.

I used the same lightsetup as I did for the NinjaCurse render. The trick is to use a greyscale image as a projectormap in the light.
In this case I used a target direct light from the top. In the advanced effects rollout of the light simply drag a bitmap from your material editor into the projector map slot!
