I started this quite a while ago, with the intention of finishing it in the next version...Well, the time has come, so I'm on the home stretch. This was rendered in the Beta Premiere version, and the finishing components, and the final render will be finished in the new version...

To remind me, as well as those of you who remember this, still to be added:
:b2: Old Troll Vizier in left-foreground...
:b2: Meat and grease, and beer sloshing
:b2: Terrible table manners...
:b2: Still-to-be-decided artists' follies...

On the home stretch now!!! :D

Looking good! Who's that guy in the right background? Doesn't look like a troll at all. :D

Your colors get me every time.

Most of the colors in my pieces come from lighting colors Vikki...I think of these as scenes from a movie, and to 'freeze' the moment, I try to visualize the thing that happened just before, and what will happen just after...If you put a 'base color' on a figure, and combine it with the right shade of lighting, like they did in the old movies, you get a unity of an image you can't get any other way... ;)

I've watched I think how you do that in one of the scripts you so kindly made me (second hair script). I've tried really hard to draw a head from scratch from watching your script. I see where you put the base on but, it boggles my mind how you know where everything is supposed to go. And I definitely pay attention to your highlighting and shading.

It is very interesting to watch that script and I do watch it often. Everytime I pick up a little bit more from it or understand something just a little bit more.

Thank you for that great explanation. Hopefully one day I'll get colors down like that after lots and lots of practice.

As always, your work is a pleasure to watch and a pleasure to see completed. :D

Ha ha, it's still alive! I like the sound of beer sloshing. Please post lots of close-ups because there's so much detail in this scene. Cheers!

Are you going to put the two different versions on together Michael, it would be interesting to compare them closly to see the improvements with the new renders. I find with 1.23b I have to have most of the setings nearly down to minimun or end up with a fuzzy image. :tu: :tu: :tu:

Thank you for welcoming back the Troll crowd guys...! :D
I will be posting a comparison render, and given the size of the actual image, lots of closeups...At present, I'm making ZSphere limbs, (You guys are going to LOVE ZSpheres!!!), and am also doing a one-piece, full figure for posting soon, so it will be a couple of days, but 1.5 is making it a lot faster to make limbs for 40 odd different characters... ;)

(I bet at this size, you can't even see the ratz amongst the tendrils... :D )

Looks great StoneCutter! I hope you will post close ups with the final render, 'cause I know there are details that one would miss otherwise. Carry on....looking forward to the full figure post.
