Well, thank you DeeVee, Jaundel and Zoid for the excellent scripts for skies and as DeeVee mentioned, it all converts to water too. Didn't do half as well as DeeVee but then DeeVee can only do DeeVee. :D So here's my first shot at sky and water after being taught a ton of stuff. Trees, leaves and branches, well, I'm still working on those.

100% Z with conversion to jpg in PSP. I'm hooked!

Thanks for the comments and what are you guys doing up this late? I thought I was gonna sneak in here with the update without being noticed. :D

After looking at the first for a bit I decided I wanted to see less water and more sky and different clouds for a deeper cloudy effect. Yep, I am definitely hooked.

To bad I don't know the finer details of art like balance. But that's ok, this is too much fun to worry about it right now. :D

Congratulaions Vikki, on a job very well done, I am so proud of you. you made my day. I was feeling a little down as a good friend of mine and I had a little disagreement, but thanks to you I now feel GREAT! Thanks a million.

these are wonderful, Vikkie! my fav is the top one because of the sparkling sea! :tu: :tu: :tu:

DMerchen: you might want to check out a few links in the QuickLinks: sky techniques (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=002177) and Kaz’s water (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=003498) as well as Zoids water (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=003326) i could find. somewhere there is a magnifico simple technique by DeeVee in there, too but a ctrl+f search within QuickLinks didnt bring it up  - and as my connection is very slow i didnt want to use the "search" (see link beside QuickLinks above?) function (a search for "deevee alpha noise water" should do it ;))

What a great site to wake up to. :D So much wonderful encouragement you almost can't have a bad day.

DMerchen,
All the scripts that I learned from last night are in the very first thread Jaundel posted "sky techniques". I never made it to the water tutorials as DeeVee gave me a hint in another thread that water could be done with Zoids sky technique and he was right on about that. :D

DeeVee,
Thank you for pointing me in the right direction yet again. I'm glad it helped you to feel better. I'm sorry you had a disagreement with your friend. I've found that all friends will have disagreements now and then, most friends will overcome them. I hope that is the case with you and your friend. ;)

Ron, Thanks! I'll definitely be working on more of these. Today I think I'll work on foliage a bit along with reinforcing the techniques I learned last night.

Juandel! You master of the Z-sky you. :D Thank you for writing such a wonderful script. I have to agree that my favorite is also the top for the very same reason and that I got the colors deeper in that one in the water.

I'll definitely be watching all the scripts again today and practicing some more. And, since I didn't see the water scripts that Jaundel links to, (only because I didn't look for them), I'll be checking those out also.

Z really puts the tools in the hands of the art challenged. Although it'll never make me an artist, it sure gives me a wonderful outlet. :D

Vikki and others if you go to the Quick links and look under zscripts painting then move down to water you will find most of the other techniques on creating water.

Here's another. Trying to get that foliage down. My rocks are a bit too mossy. So mossy in fact they don't look mossy. :D Just need to practice more.

I think you have that type of foliage mastered now Vikki. I also like those you did in the second image. You should try some colored ones now for variety.
As far as the moss goes I think you have too much, also if you reduced the intensity a bit and just add enough to give an indication of moss that might help.
Soon it will be difficult to tell whose image it is by looking at the thumbnail.
Great work. :tu: :tu: :tu: :D :tu: :tu:

Beautiful images Vikki. Like Juandel, I really like the sea in the first one. The reflections and sparkles are very nice. I like the coloring of the plants in the second and third, they have more of the tones of the sunset. :tu:

Good work, Vikki. Like DeeVee said, I already had to look twice at the thumbnails before deciding it wasn't a second of his paintings up there.

I agree with all of Tag's comments. I like them all and it's difficult to decide, but I think #2 is my favourite. Not quite as vivaciously coloured as #1 nor quite as strong compositionally as #3, but it retains much of the same magic of the sky and sea from #1 whilst the foliage looks more closely integrated with the picture in terms of hue and light.

Looking forward to seeing more of these.

Beautiful work, Vikki...I love the foliage in the last one, and it is also amazing how fast you absorbed the techniques...I like them all! :D
