Settings problem

I'm new to ZBrush and I've tried to find the solution to this problem but I can't and it's really annoying. When a place an object, say a 3DSphere, I can't change the material or the texture, I have to draw the object again. Why?

Another question, how do you switch between objects? How do you select them?

If anyone has some answers or tutorials to this I'd be a happy camper

right after posing your object press T then you can edit your object

select one object and another-> nop this is not a real 3d program, more a painting with 3d object

you can mark them (m) to restore their position or use multimarker to store x objects positions relative to each other but basically it's like you drawn on a paper one not good you erase at strat again
