Ok been playing with ZSpheres and liking it so far. The only problem I have is when I skin a model I get creases, and can't figure out why? Here is an example:

Ok here is my first ZSphere image. Did the body in ZBrush and then imported into Cinema to add details and slap on some ugly colors.

I have only used ZBrush for a couple of days now. Looking forward to learning the software. Hope ya'll don't mind me buggin you with questions.

Thanks

wow very nice job!

the crease is made because of something to do with facets on the sphere and how close they are together, etc. if u check the first script that opens wiht Zbrush, u can do a tutorial that explains in more detail wuts goin on.

U can also try to make unified skin and increases resolution. it somtimes gets rid of creases.

While you have the ZSphere tool on your screen, hit the 'A' key for a preview...Then hit it again, and go back to the ZSphere tool, and move a ZSphere very slightly, and watch the result by hitting the 'A' key again to call up the preview...You also might need to scale the ZSpheres as an alternative, or additionally. By toggling back and forth, you'll be able to see in advance what your skinned model will look like. Patience at this stage will teach you a lot about the adjustments you need to make...
Also in a few days, you will find ZScripts being posted, which will offer a more detailed methodology...The ZSphere stage is where you work these things out...

And questions are what this place is about...We're ALL bozos on this bus! ;) :D

Welcome aboard! :tu: :tu: :tu:

Edit: Here's an example of using the creasing to actually help create the effect of seperate parts...Sort of Mr. peanut with wings...

Here is what's happening to you. When a sphere is partly embedded in another, the result will usually be a crease such as you're experiencing.

By moving the spheres a bit farther apart, that crease will be eliminated.
