well heres one i did with the time lapse, man i never knew how nerve wrecking it is to record your process...couldnt use any reference so i had to cut it short

jantim,

sorry, i actually did record the zscript session but during playback it didnt work, i dunno if it was because i used an imported mesh or loaded a different interface setting...but ill try to do another one some day...for now i need take a break and get on my other projects!

Thanks Anguyen,...i'm no expert in Zscripts but it must be the imported mesh....
the script just translates your actions to a diff'rent computer, and loading a mesh thats on your system won't work
You would have to zip that mesh as well...or use Zspheres ! I dont know if you have ever downloaded "Skycastle's" hero-torso script, for me it was a sort of eye-opener, he uses a very basic mesh, from Zspheres to make a nice torso !
The zip-file must be on this thread ..i think you will find it interesting !

"Great script"......Thank you Anh, its interesting to see you work, with a lot of confidence, there are almost no redo's in your workflow, you clearly know your subject ...what did surprise me is that you kept your Z-intensity at a constant high value, 25 or so, do you use a pressure sensitive tablet ? ..is that the reason for the fact that i did not see that value change ?
Do you use the same workflow if you make a hand, something most of us find difficult to model....i hope to see more of your work on this forum, and Z-scripts if you can spare the time :tu:

I agree Turx,...but sometimes there so many posts from people who want to show us that they were able to push around some pixiols, that gems like this script don't get noticed...it happens a lot with post made in the weekend !

thanks for the kind responses!

i just hope that this script truly did help u guys...anyhow i just noticed how cone head like the sculpt looks....ive been working on 1280x1024 resolution and was told that 1600x1200 is the norm...oops

i was also looking over the model again and seems like i made the brow a little too prominent, the cheek bone is supposed to be the farthest point out in the 3/4 view....im learning more and more as i sculpt more heads

jamtim - i usually work at 10 or 12 z intensity but while i was doing the script i just forgot to sometimes to adjust it back...but i usually like to use 25 when i block out the head in the first couple of passes...and keep my brush big too so i can just tap to add more volume instead of having to go over and over an area with a small brush and lox z intensity...proportions are the most important in a sculpt (not like this is at all correct) so using a small brush will only get you involved with worrying about the details too soon....i only use undo when i make a silly mistake but other than than i usally smooth and resculpt....i find that after i get something too look alright, i often smooth that area too see how i can make it look better....i just like resculpting a lot instead of undoing....i think this carried over from doing photoshop paintings....usually i dont undo i just pick another color and paint over it....limiting your undos will definitely improve your skills...oh and i got to look at skycastles script...awesome script...i always had problems making hands in zspheres! thanks jantim

dont forget to post your heads!

Hey, Bas, if you're monitoring this thread could you please re-link your excellent 'Surprised Gnome' head ZScript? The link currently in the page 4 post doesn't appear to work now.

Thanks!
