Hello All !

Well I've choosen a 3d primitive (sphere)under TOOL tab. then I create several spheres along with cubes, etc. The problem is that when I try to export, zbrush only exports the last selected primitive and not all the model I have created(composed with cubes and spheres). I have tried aswell to create a single sphere and deform it. The problem is that Zbrush only exports the primitive without the deformation.

What am I doing wrong here ?

Tks in advance !

When you exporting your tools..
:b4: it is only your active tool wich been exported.. not all project...

I think you will must work with multimarker tools.. for composing a complexe modele to export it.
( ahem.. I think because I'm beginner too) :)

As Fouad has stated if you want to export all the objects together as a compostite you must use the Multimarker function. Place the first object and mark it then place the second one and mark it and so on. Then in the tools pallet click on the MultiMarker tool. In the options for that tool you can choose to Make Polymesh. When you do that you will create one composite mesh of all the objects. Save it first as a native ZTool in case something goes wrong then export it as an .obj file. Also If you use the deformations commands on an unedited tool the commands don't seem to take (anyone else...Matthew...please clarify if you can). What I do is I select the primitive then do the deformations on it in the DEFORMATIONS menu BEFORE I draw it out on the workspace. It should work fine then and save the tool before exporting it as an .obj file. I find that if I use the deformations (but not all of the deformations) or resize etc while in edit mode that the object reverts back to its initial state when I save it. This has happened with arms and legs that I have made from Spheres. So perform basic deformations first and if you want to resize it (i.e. make an egg or oval etc) do it with the SIZE command in the deformations menu not with size feature found in the edit menu. Matthew if you are watching a clearer explanation would be welcomed. :)
