inspired somewhat from Pix's latest vision...it was a fun opportunity to play with the alpha brushes.. ;) and the leaves come from a scan I did back in early spring of a honey suckle leaf from my backyard...applied it to a plane as a texture with the transparent clicked...I use that leaf alot....so if you ever see it and I forget to mention it, don't get on me about it.

The fang tree sat at the back of the property for sure. We were always told not ot go near it. It seemed to be a gathering place during the summer months for the snakes of our area. Overgrown with weeds and barely surviving the dry summers it remained as a monolithic sanctuary for our legless denizens of the surrounding woods. I remember one of the larger residents of this moist place of solitude, a six foot long cotton mouth water moccasin (not unheard of in these parts, but surely uncommon to say the least). Though it was not a snake eater by nature, it's brethern steered clear of this scaly monstrosity, I guess for fear of being eaten themselves. Daddy always said, "They are just as afraid of you as you are of them"...I believed that until one day while......

Very interesting image Ron ! I am sure that some of us who were inspired be Pix's image will be trying similar images in the not too distant future.
