Good Morning All . . . :)

I wanted to post my experiences with the new ZBrush 1.5, so . . . . . I downloaded the upgrade yesterday, installed it on my system without any problems. I entered my temporary serial number, & started experimenting with the program. To make my post quick . . . . . I can say that I've had "0" problems with ZBrush 1.5 as of yet, & I was playing with it all evening yesterday. I used the "Texture Master" ZScript, in the default installation folder without any problems at all. I then copied my "Material Pack" ZScript from 1.23b to 1.5, & placed it in the utilities folder, along with the "Texture Master" ZScript, then used it several times while playing around, without a single problem. I didn't have to move any ZScripts or folders, or change anything in the program. I've used every item old & new in the new version 1.5, & I haven't experienced any problems or bugs of any kind, so far. So, I'm going to have to say that at this time, if any are still having any problems with ZBrush 1.5, then the problems must be caused by their operating system - video card - drivers, or something else non-ZBrush related. I'm running ZBrush 1.5 on a 4 year old system = PIII 500 / Windows 98SE / 512 ram / TNT2 Ultra video card with 32 mgs ram / DirectX 8.1, so if it will run smooth on my system, it should run great on all the newer systems out there today. ;) ;) ;)

Anyway, I'm happy so far with everything about 1.5, especially being I haven't had any problems or bugs to complain about. :D Hope you all have a wonderful time with your new ZBrush 1.5, & have a good one . . . Mark.

Hi Mark, I've just started playing with 1.5 today. So far so good. Still lots to do, as far as organizing the folders. So far, though, no problems of any kind to speak of.
Running smoothly on a Plll 866, 256megs ram and an Nvidia Geforce MX/MX400 card.

Hi Kruzr. Good idea with this thread.
So far, the only problem I've had is with the Texture Master Show and Tell. So, I tried the version that can be downloaded from the web site, and tried it. I get the "this is an older version which will be updated on the next save" message (whatever that means), but it runs fine. So I suspect that the version that's included with 1.5 is the problem.
Other than that, all is well here also. I have no problem with the right side tray that others have posted about, but I'm running at 1024x768.
My specs:
WinXP Home Edition
Dell Dimension 4400
P4/1.6g
1024mg ddr sdram
GeForce 2 MX400

Jack 1,

If you open the file called "TM-PANELrevE.ZBR" and then resave it with the same name you will no longer get the message about it being an older version.

Hey all, firts post here, even though I,ve ahd ZBrush and been a member of this forum for about a year now. 1.5 is amazing to say the least, dl was a breeze as was installation. I am how ever having an issue with some scripts as far as, when loaded, their interface doesn't show up, or it appears partially. and yes i scolled up and down just to make sure. My specs are:

Dual PIII 1.26GHz cpu's
Supermicro mobo
ATI 8500DV 64MB vid card
2 gigs of Simpletech pc 133 sd memory
80Gig and a 20Gig WD harddrives
XP Pro Antec server tower :D

Hey Kruzr......good to hear you finally have a stable Zbrush.

Yup same here......so far no crashes......makes a change.

One small problem.........maybe....
Material........can only (it seems) be used once on an object.....unlike 1.23 where I could pick and change materials at will for the same object.

I've fixed all the small things but the one about the materials has me stopped cold. I used the material pack, works great except for a small problem..when I change to different material,it changes all the items already done into that material.. Is there something I'm missing?

When using the material pack, make sure when you select a material that you have a material selected in your material pallette that you haven't already used in your document. The material pack will load the material into whatever material you currently have selected.

I've been using 1.5 for almost a month now (testing) and I have had no problems whatsoever, including Material Pack, etc. I think Pixologic did a pretty dern good job working out the bugs (also thanks to the testers who came before me, LOL)

No problems here either, I havent had much of a chance to play yet. But so far I love what I see and everything has ran very smootly. I have used texture master and the material pack also, without problems.
