I have no critics¡¡ the model is very well done and the wrinkles are nice reached. The only suggestion i have is make the ears more in accord with the wrinkles of the face. Let say the face is more old than the ears. Excuse my english if i dont explain well.
Again the model is very well done. Of course as you already mentioned is a wip so...keep on¡¡¡

Looks very good to me. The only thing I notice is that the teeth seem somewhat flat across the front, or IOW, they seem to be lined up straight across rather than in a "U" shape. Overall the creases could be sharpened up a bit.

The muscle tension above his nose feels a bit strange to me. I don't get a sense for where that skin would normally sit -- it's bunching into corners which I think hint at a different bone structure -- more of a snout than the nose you've given him. I imagine this wouldn't be an issue if we could see him in motion, shifting from a default expression to this extreme one, or if there was a default-pose image to compare against.

On the whole, he's coming along nicely! And, of course, take my criticism with a grain of salt -- I don't know what I'm talkin' about.

(I'll go snarl at myself in the mirror now...)

hi:
Frist i thank Adam and Aaron and all of u guys for critics. All u guys critics r treasure to me:tu: .
after readin Aaron's reply ... i am thinkin about the posibility of animating the displacement in xsi. Well no clue yet.:o.....
I go to Taron 's post to find some solutions but seems only messiah they r discuss about.......just wonder we can do it in xsi or not.....:qu: (if any1 know about it please point me a direction )
Again Taron's work is so much inpiration to me and make me feel like i am still a 3d newbie. In fact got a lot to learn from u guys. I will keep on workin and workin... till I reach u guys level.

There's a filesize limitation on posting to the server. That often gets in my way, so I occasionally end up hosting my images somewhere else. This has the unfortunate side effect of not showing up on ZBC's image bar, which means your work is largely un-noticed, and not often commented upon. Where possible, it's better to just work within ZBC's limitations. (the main time this will be difficult is if you're posting animated GIFs -- solution being to host elsewhere but host a smaller thumbnail here so it gets picked up by the system)

---

In answer to your other question... Some of what Taron is doing should be possible in other applications, but it will take a LOT of work to pull off. The thing to know about Taron is that he's one of the main programmers behind Messiah:Studio, himself. Which works out great for the users, 'cause he's a crazy artist who bats aside traditional limitations as though they were nothing. And he's all about integrating ZBrush in very innovative ways, where the rest of us are still fighting to accomplish simple tasks in our other applications.

Given another year or two, everything else will catch up on the features we're talking about (it's not just that he's animating displacement maps -- he's using bones to control the blend between multiple maps, thereby generating a new one to displace off of). But, Messiah:Studio will have that same year or two's development with which to push further ahead, and to catch up in other areas where other programs are currently better.

It's sort of a waiting game. And in the meantime, you can pick up the Workstation Version for $299 (http://www.projectmessiah.com/). Which will directly support Taron's ability to feed himself, and ensure that he continue doing what he's doing (rather than, say, working at a gas station -- not to insult anyone who does, but that'd just be tragic).

I'm hoping to buy a copy myself pretty soon.

ANYWAY... You're hardly dead in the water. So, you can't control the intricate details like Taron can. Whatever. Just work on morphing your base object. Displacements will follow, and the results will be more than acceptable...

xsi,
With subsurface scattering, that face could look freaky if you wanted. I need to learn how to make that kind material if Z-brush can support it.

Hi again:
Firstly i am not comparing my work with any other gurus out there.;)
I just wanna level my skill to catch up the flow.

yes the displacement will follow when u do the shape animation but thats not what i want to achieve here. And actually i play around the blending displacement in xsi and have a little sucess.:D like he morph from the default face to extreme 1 some skin will fold and some vain appear. just micmic the true human skin will react.
Means morph not only the shape but also the displacement in xsi.

Thanks for ur kindly reply.I still cant post images.... .and i didnt got any other web space to use........ anyway i will find the way to post the result.
Happy Zbrushing

Start with this (http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=5393&page=1), and experiment from there. Wow, I'm already halfway there now, thanks Ctrl-Z. Time to Ctrl-S these materials into the Mat folder.
