i know this sounds retarded but i am new to zbrush and am having problems saving my progress, for example im working on a horse, as i save the file when i reopen the horse is now flat and i cannot edit the horse, what do i need to do in order to save the horse as is, with the option of still keeping my levels of detail (divisions) ans my morph targets.

very common problem. you need to save the objects as tools. this can only be done in full version

Maybe this isn't what you need (too elementary) but ... make horse and texture. Save horse as ztool. Place a marker to remember the position and then "save as" the document. Next time you open up document, clear the layer with the "flat" horse (ctrl-n), select horse ztool, then click marker and the horse will be re-drawn. Immediately enter edit mode and you can continue to work on it. Remember to save ztool again but don't need a new marker if you're still happy with position.

I hope this was what you needed. Best regards.

zero :)

There is a difference to saving the document and saving a tool. When you save a document you are saving the pixols in canvas, material and light settings. When you save a tool you are saving the geometry and texture of that tool. To save a tool use the tool palette and load it from the tool palette.
