Hey guys,

Mylast Topic (http://www.pixolator.com/zbc-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=015523)kinda transformed in a water-discussion, so after that I started messing around with the materials to create a material that resembles water, and I think I've succeded.

This material seems to react the same as water for as far as I,ve tested it.
This pic is just a sphere on a black background with a little blue color added.

Here's the material, feel free to experiment with it and give me your opinion.

Did some more testing on the water and here's the result :)

Nice huh... ...this water effect :p

BTW this is apartial image, trying to keep it decent this time :D so I guess I won't show you the bigger-scale bubble-foam-effect of the collapsing water.

Heh, looks pretty good. Like what you tested it on. Gonna have to give it a try (...the water material I mean).

Hey thanx guys, for your compliments. I'm really flattered 'cause I got some bad reactions at home without arguments about what it is that they don't like about it (so I can see and perhaps improve) but I'm glad you guys like it :)

Ron, I didn't quite get the question, could you elaborate on this one? Thanx :)

hi u-jin,
i just meant how is the image assembled - what bits have you brought together to make it?
presumably she's a seperately modeled figure and then ....? are the waterparts 3d? 2 ? 2.5?
i'm just being nosey coz you've got some really nice effects there !! it looks great!

I volunteer to get in the water and test it with her ;)

I,m glad you asked that, cuz everthing in the image is actually 3D. What I might have had mentioned before, is that the waterfall is is a 3D sculpture aswell as the girl and the rocks. The bubbles are just bumps created on the model. That's what I like about the material, even the bubbles look pretty good after one click with the mouse.
So if you ever need to make water, this material is sure worth checking out.

Don't forget to turn off that 'flatten layers' for the transparancy if you try it :D and hope you'll have some fun with it, thanx.
