move in/out

how do i move in and out while in edit mode? they must be a way...

define, 'move' -- you can zoom (in/out) by pressing alt, (not releasing it) and pressing your left mouse button, now release alt but keep your left mouse button pressed and move up or down with yr mouse.

if you wish to move your obj in and out do the above, if you wish to zoom in and out use the zoom button, i think it's on the right side of the default layout otherwise I believe you'll find it in the transform menu.
