View Full Version : The Surf
In this image I was experimenting with creating surf. It turned out passable so I decided to share it.
Just another doodle exercise :ex: http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/zbc_uploads/user_image-1026662123hxj.jpg

Good job on the wave, but where are the surfers? Also in the bottom right section of your drawing, why is the green blended in with the water? Very nice DeeVee.
David
Very nice DeeVee! :D :tu:
Zero, I do not see any green at bottom right, but if there is, it is moss which grows on rocks by the seaside. :D

When I was a DJ in Monterey California in the mid sixties--After my show I'd always go out and sit by the ocean--This is so much like the experience --it floods my memory with total realism of those moments--thanks DeeVee :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu:
You are a master of understatement DeeVee.
Passable? I was thinking more along the lines of outstanding!

Both are really great DeeVee! I really enjoy your beach scenes. And, as always, fantastic work on the water, rocks, and vegetation! :tu: :tu:
I like them both Deevee.
I really like the surf in the first image. It turned out very well :tu:

Joe I just want you to know that whenever I do a scenery or a terrain you are my inspiration. Your work is the driving force behind my attempts at this type of imagery. I thank you for your hard work and dedication and for constantly showing us there is more to life than just monsters! ;) Thank you GrandMaster DeeVee!!!!
Gee! Mr. M. You make me feel as if I did something. I am only enjoying myself, and in doing so if I find out a new way of doing something I pass it on.
I am sure most of the regular posters here would do the same thing.
You will be happy to hear that I finally hooked up the Wacom tablet tonight. I will give you my impressions of it after I play with it for a few days.
Keep up the good work with the Beta, you may have me modeling before long!
DeeVee,
Joe.

More outstanding "doodles" DeeVee - I particularly like the feel of the surf in the first one.
Good luck with the Wacom. I use mine with my right hand and the mouse with my left. Don't know why. I'm certainly not otherwise ambidextrous - just always used my left hnd for the mouse, even when drawing.
Oh OH OH!! These are wonderful in so many different ways.
The foliage is too perfect in the "choppy seas" wow! Is that a shadow cast on the waters? LOVE that idea! Suggesting content and environment.

I have no words for that piece. My jaw hit the floor! :tu: :tu: :tu:
I agree Kat. If it is as windy as the sea suggests the foliage should have had a more blown look. Thanks for pointing that out. I must remember to make all elements match.
