I love this stuff Daniel! Absolutely love it! It's dark, apocalyptic, Gigerish, surreal...all the goodies rolled up into one! :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu:

What I would really like to see is some of the process by which you create these images...models, settings, you know the creative process.

This stuff is really cool. Every time I look at one of the images from this growing series, I wonder - what the heck flows throw those vacuum cleaner hoses? :D

I really like your images. Very ambient. I also like your subdued palette that relies on the tones on the lighting and fog.
I can't help but think about that magazine that used to be out in the 80's called OMNI.
These images would fit in an issue if not a cover.

Stunning work! I think Mentat said it all. A bit of a walk through would be a fantastic treat.

I love this type of work, and I can't even explain why! It's probably the same reason I like the Alien movies. Awsome work! :D

This is my favorite of yours, to date, Daniel. I love the POV and the fog effects are amazing.

Thanks for replies! I am back from holidays, so be prepared for another dark wave... It is difficult to make tutorials on the picture, because the modeling was somehow simple, almost trivial. However, there are some tips:
1.
The scene consists from just two types of objects - sphere (the alieneye-like cyber window shiny things), and torus (the rest). The magic is just the fact, that you may apply heightfield on every geometry (I think that it is called *alpha century way* in ZBrush for some reason). It means, that you can create various complex objects in VERY reasonable time (BTW I am inspecting possibility of creating MUSCLES and CLOTH this way - the results are very promising, but I suppose that this method will become obsolete with the new version).
2. I use *fog modelling method*, that keeps different levels of Z clearly visible during modelling, even if the fog is not apllied in final render.
3. 3-5 layers used, the less is better. The reason is personal: I don't like huge files and many layers are difficult to manage for me (But the number of layers differs from time to time, in some pictures I have 8 of them for instance).
4. Some 2,5D work.
5. No multimarkers.

Keep experimenting,
D.S.
