A friend who also does cg work came over yesterday, and in attempt to show him how well z2 works in the modeling pipeline, I did a quick(ended up going long) modeling session, to show him how fast it's possible to flesh out ideaa and create production quality work in z2, and why he needs to buy z2 as well.

anyway, here's a pic of the final image and the zscript sample modeling session to match; I hope it doesn't run too long(you may want to turn up the playback speed), i haven't watched it yet.

*last thing: it's zipped, cause the original .txt file was over 500k

A ZScriptRecordedSession_a.zip (http://www2.zbrushcentral.com/uploaded_from_zbc/200407/user_file-1084324366vel.zip)

anyone completely new to zbrush(i'm only about 2 weeks into zbrush myself, lol) may find it useful to watch in some way. Those who are seasoned(unlike me) may just find that it's a nice way to pass time just watching another user model cause...there's nothing special about this session

(please keep in mind that i'm running a dinosaur of a pc so you'll see constant undos. By default z2 has my tool undo set to 1 and my poly count per model to 500,000; when i thought about that I had already started modeling so I altered that for this session in the middle of modeling, sorry if that screws up anything for you all)

hmm, perhaps I should continue editing this one?...to be honest(and if you've watched the zscript, you know), orientation, hiding a large portion of unsculptd mesh, lighting, and material are playing a role and in the way the final image looks(and i shouldn't be cheating myself like that[then again, this was just a quick modeling session for a friend])....maybe I'll continue editing this mesh and use this as the basis for when I learn about texturing in z2.

What do you all think?
