Finally have some free time on my hands..hope to god I have enought to finish the detail modeling and texture it (along with 12 other textureless models :rolleyes: )

I saw something similar last night...did you?

I was alone in my bedroom...thinking in "censored" ...and a hard light perturbed me. I was blind but when opened the eyes...I saw him!!!
Maybe it's just a coincidence...but anyway I'm very surprise to see him again here!!! :eek:

Zbrush desperately needs camera view to emphasize zbrushers creations, any plan on texturing him, her?
I wish I could make those nice renders, any hint on how you did this fake GI ?, I think it 's quite hard to make it inside Zbrush.

Thank you all for your comments. Yeah I would like to finish this guy up but first I want to master my own sss shader.

Here is a progress pic of how he was made. Its actual based on a tutorial that our good buddy glen southern wrote.

Hi MTB,
This work really appeals to me ,orginal and clean forms are the things I admire most. If I may suggest , in addition, that you work on create some suttle character in the mouth and chin area. Since we can associate most with this area of the character it will bring him to life.

A sessiom of PM. Z crashed on me 3 times before I was able to save changes.

This is actuall a small amount of pm but I just wanted to show you all the results. Currently at 1.35 mill.

Hey MB,

Looks great, I like your style - Seems like you're already using the knowledge you gained from smellybugs tut! :)

One crit: Work on the seam in the middle, it looks like he's been cut in two halves. But other than that, great work.

Very, very cool. I agree with Giantsun, It is mesmerizing...

Frenchy has a good point about the symmetry, but I'm sure you will tackle that once all the detail is in.

I'll be interested to see where you take this guy. Nice work.

Greetings,

That final render is a excellent showcase of Zbrush and your artistic creativity combined.

It is hard to distinguish whether or not that rendering is a physical model or a digital peice. Lovely work.

A cool texture should finish up the skin.
I think the eyes need to be modified. The color is great, but I think you could do some research and come up with a really cool eye texture.

thats pretty cool looking, I'll just save that critter for another project. He is an alien yes but don't let the bug-like appearance fool you...he is no insect.
Its definately a way to go though but not fot this fella.

Really nice render you've got here, only critic I would make is that it's too symmetrical (IMO) Otherwise, really cool.

Hi Malikus,

Please explain how you make edge loops in your Zshpere model. When I start a Zsphere tool, I do not get the Edge Loop option box.

Is this normal? If so, how do you subdivide the model?

The edge loop info box said its works with polymesh objects. Is an active Zsphere a polymesh?

No,no... you need to convert it to a pm object first. Adaptive skinning is the key here. okay here are two great tutorials on box modeling in Z.

This here is one by our lovely mod aurick. (http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showpost.php?p=168913&postcount=1)
Do this one first it. It has more in depth description.

This quicktime movie here is one I made (http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showpost.php?p=168692&postcount=1).
Then look at this one..on descriptions, just pure modeling.

Those two should get you going.
