Hi!

I started zbrush 3 weeks ago , and this is the first time I post something to the web! Before Zbrush I was modelling in maya with very few succeses.I'm really intersted in normal and displacement maps although I don't know anything about
Uv mapping in zbrush or shading or texturing , and I don't know how can I make a good low poly version of these models. Anyway I hope you like the models. 121 replys please!

Great pics! It looks like you started at the deep end with complicated models rather than simple human faces :)
The only thing i noticed was the inverted cross should be flat not curved inwards. Glenn Benton from Deicide has an inverted cross branded into his forehead, if you want a reference.

Hi profofsen,

If you made these, good looking, models from a 3d sphere then you are stuck
with its meshresolution ! Inside Zbrush you can only control your meshresolution
by making models with Zshperes, then you can increase/decrease the mesh
by choosing a adaptive skin, i urge you to study the" practical manual" for
Zbrush 2 or click the "help" file, there you can find the answers you are looking
for ,and the answers to things you have not been looking for, but are great to know anyhow:cool:

Great looking models!!! 3dspheres for me are a hunk of clay....great for use when you arent worrying about anything other than sculpting a head for making a static image. You always have the option of using the 2.5d tools to paint, texturing, and cleanup the image. Zspheres on the other hand take you to a whole other level in modeling. Zspheres are a little tricky, a lot more work until you master them, but your models with zspheres can be deeply sculpted and textured and much more professional looking and the sky is about the limit on the useage of your models made in this manner. So for technical modeling (ie clean meshes, edge loops blah blah blah technical technical..etc) use Zspheres....For fun and goofing off and just enjoying the fact of making a neat and kewl lookin pic, I would use the 3dsphere. Right tool for the right job....Keep up the kewl models...looking forward to seeing your progression in the wonderful world of Z.

Thanks for the comments!
All of the models are made with zsphere's and I followed the practical manual's J.S. Rolhion's warrior tutorial. My problem is when I lower the resolution I don't get the result that I wanted to(I've lost the most part of the topology). My goal is the make a low res model about 500 poly's and use a normal map or a displacement map. I've tried to use the lowest resolution models in maya for further tweaks but I'm not really a good low poly modeller.
But I keep practicing.
